Yes another scoop from insideman with benji to the chooks. His latest scoop is the jet will be given a crack at fullback

That would be interesting. He has good passing and obviously pace to burn, but has he played there before? Positioning and defence at the back is very difficult

He actually played there a bit in under 20s, not in senior grade though

Actually started his first game of FG their under our very own Madge Maguire

Goes without saying that if you say something against Jason Taylor you get random negative reps.

So Wests Tigers Forum

I will back you to the hilt, JT is the worse coach we have had.

Did you black out and forget the Terry Lamb years? JT was a much better head coach.

Lamb wasn't a coach so there is no comparison to ve made 🙂
Taylor was bad but sheesh! who employed that brain-dead idiot?

I've just skipped 10 pages and people are still waffling on about Jason Taylor. I hate the off season.

This one and last year have been 'interesting' ones. There is always a period of the doldrums in all off-seasons and we have been stuck in it for the last three - four weeks.
Can't wait for the season to start.

There is a problem with my quoting system, I don’t have the option to quote.

But, I disagree on the Potter note. Out of all our sacked coaches, he was the best one. He had our side clicking, Tedesco/Brooks were on fire. He had a bad run with injuries which resulted in us dropping out of the 8 in one season, the other was riddled by Farah sega before the biggest game of our season. He unfortunately had to deal with the ego’s within our side that we somehow cannot get rid of.

Welcome back.

Fulton said once that potter never really had any control of the team.

I'm a bulldogs fan.
If in fact we do get momirovski, yous should make a play for meaney. He won't have a first grade spot in our squad soon enough.
Yous would get him pretty cheap, is quick and has looked good at fullback. Dean pay shouldn't of changed him to the wing. Looked like he was starting to find his feet before he was moved to the wing.

Agreed, I wouldn’t say no to Meaney, lots of upside I reckon.

No thanks. Can barely make that Bulldogs side and they were one off the spoon. Keep momirovski and keep on trying for Laurie

Can't really say the Bulldogs are a weak club. We are one of the biggest Sydney clubs. We've only been down on the ladder since our cap strain where near all our senior players had to be let go. Wont stay down for long though.
Plus meaney is better than mbye and arguably better than Laurie.
And is a decent goal kicker aswell

Lol, You are one of Sydney's smallest clubs. Alongside Manly and the Sharks, as small local clubs.

You've been down the ladder for a decade due to complete incompetence throughout the club.

Signing a hack as coach and offering players ridiculously over priced contracts won't change this.

Please tell me how The bulldogs are one of the smallest clubs?
The last decade we've made the finals 5 or so times. Minor premiership. 2 grand finals.. What have the tigers done in the last decade?
You can't criticise bulldogs for over paying when yous paid how much for reynolds, mbye, packer even Bj Leilua....

Your club has slowly gone backwards since bullfrog was first ousted , then passed away . You’ve had success , sure , but no longer are they seen as the family club , because of all the drama they have had over the years .

The ethnic base of that club , and the diversity of that base , will mean , unfortunately that every couple of years , groups will align and tru and oust and over throw the existing board .we’ve seen it multiple times now , and that’s going to get better unfortunately.

As a side note , Parra have and had , very similar issues , but their issue is a generational disconnect from the 70s guys to the 80a guys to the 90s guys , as the only ones who ever won anything were the 80s guys. And they weren’t quiet about letting you know about it . So a lot of noses get bent out of shape . Our issue was obviously the gap between the Balmain side and wests , which as time passes and wounds heal , is if not completely got rid of , seen by bodfheads like Benny and Garry giving interviews all the time , and older supporters still referencing Maggie’s , and wearing magpie jerseys or Balmain jerseys .
This is why I think we are going alright . When you look across the room you seem some pretty loveless marriages .

Dealing with players’ state of mind and physical preparedness is the coaches responsibility isn’t it? If he fails in that fundamentally important task, then how can he possibly be a great coach?

Social experiment..
Tim Sheens and Jason Taylor sucked

Now according to the previous pages i shoukd receive - negative reps

Thats the thing about forums, sometimes the topic isn't your cup of tea.
Take a bex and have a snooze.

There is a reason both those coaches won't coach NRL again.
Sheen's has tried for years to get back to NRL coaching. Clubs saw what he did the Tigers and failed to rectify the culture.
Sheen's was more like a dad. Not a coach.
Taylor just doesn't have the people skills. Old hard head from the old days doesn't gel well today with the soy latte players of today.

If you want to talk about coaches that's fine, make a thread about it and go nuts. Just don't hijack this thread and fill it with dribble over Potter and Taylor.

Okay back to suggestions, for the back row if I could grab anyone right now based on best fit for the club I reckon Eliesa Katoa who made his debut last year is an absolute stud, looks like Kikau did when he was a rookie. Just imagine a backrow of;
13. Blore
12. Leilua
11. Katoa
Would be dominant for the next 5 years.

No I like big joe for the 13 , blore and Leila in the back row , but yes it would be nice to have another gun backrower .

Pretty sure @cochise was saying that JO stats at 13 are much worse than his output at 8.
Might be wrong thought...

Its more his starts in the second row are the problem. I believe there is an interest in finding a ball playing 13, I think that was why we were talking to Cam McInnes.
