Matt Dufty is a little agitated that Dragons haven’t offered him a contract yet and that Cody Ramsey may take his spot. Could be a good short term option if Laurie doesn’t come over this year or if Mbye wants out (2 year contract with club option for year 2). He certainly offers speed which we are after and has developed a sweet right to left pass.


A player of his age wouldn’t be looking to come to a club where eventually he will be a back up a year later. He would be wanting starting position and longer than a 1 year player deal

Who says Laurie would be better than Dufty? Dufty is a star an Laurie hasn't played more than like 1 game.

Besides Laurie can play 6 with Dufty at 1 and AD in the centres

My point is we purchased Laurie with the intentions of giving him first shot at fullback in 2022, meaning Dufty would have to sit behind the pecking order. Again, he wouldn't be looking to sign a 2 year deal with the second being a club option - he would be looking for minimum 3 at this point in his career.

BRONCOS’ ULTIMATUM AS DRAGONS FACE HUGE CALL
The Brisbane Broncos are playing hardball in relation to St George Illawarra’s interest in bringing Andrew McCullough to the Red V for 2021 and 2022.

“Joffa” and “Jimmy” are mates from their time at the Brisbane Broncos and the big ex-Queensland Maroons forward was only too happy to let Roberts come and live with his family as he gets his life back on track.
Roberts has impressed everyone at the Tigers with his attitude towards pre-season training and the club hopes he can prove one of the buys of the season.
The Tigers are tipped to appoint new recruit James Tamou - who has picked up a minor calf strain - as the club’s new captain.

Hartigan has a relationship with Crichton from Patrician Brothers Blacktown which helps.
Penriff are now offering FB to Crichton as well, if he resigns with them unsure of what they will do with Edwards.

"Dufty is a star " - that's a good one Mate, Thanks brightened up my day.

Dufty is the type of player that we always went after, eg, Mbye, Chee-Kam and Masters come to mind.

Players that promote mediocrity - one of the reasons we never made the eight.

Thankfully (I think) those days are over.

On the news in Brisbane in case you have missed it.

Proud Queensland rugby league club, Redcliffe Dolphins, have identified master coach Wayne Bennett in their pursuit of becoming the NRL's 17th franchise.

Redcliffe on Tuesday unveiled its new northern grandstand of Dolphin Stadium as part of a $100 million bid to join the top-level NRL competition.

The revamped Dolphin Stadium can now house 10,000 seated fans with room for an extra 1500 in a standing area.

"We are now NRL-ready, and when I say ready we are ready to go tomorrow if the NRL needs us," Redcliffe Dolphins club chairman Bob Jones said.

I would say that Mybe's Manager is now looking at this club as an option, how soon that happens unsure as he still have 2 years to run on current contract.
