Well, if he has ever been wrong - I hope it is this time.

I'm hoping he's correct. Wouldn't be a bad thing having Hastings in our squad if he has pulled his head in and reined in his supposed big ego.
The talented-player well is pretty much dry for this season at this point.....Hastings would be a good get considering plenty of people are saying Madden and Tannous are a while off first grade, Hastings would at least keep the pressure on Brooks to consistently perform and Douiehi is still an unknown quantity at 5/8, he may not handle it at all so Hastings and Brooks could share the halves duties if that's the case.

I've been watching the ESL for the last 10 years and Jackson has been by far the the best Aussie and Kiwi import they've had over those years.

In my opinion the DCE issue was blown out of proportion across media and socials. Yes, he broke curfew and DCE took exception to it, however the media made a mountain out of a mole hill. Trent Barrett and Scott Penn fed into the blowback and only dropped him to keep DCE happy.

We've seen much worse behaviour in the NRL, a lot of players have been forgiven for bad behavior both on and off the field, and in some cases even criminal indiscretions.

If the Tigers are looking to sign Jackson, it's a great move. I'm all for it.

I saw him off the pitch in his time over there, Guys is still an A Grade Goose!!

I can’t see most of those tries happening in the NRL. It’s a massive dummy to clean line break . How often do you see that ? Apart from RCG against us haha .
But seriously , I’m not seeing a whole lot of play making there . If people are saying Brooks lacks creativity , then this dude is not the answer . Blake Austin , was figured out, I don’t see it personally.

Yeah, I think if he was that good he'd be back in the NRL already? Hopefully he's grown up somewhat because it wasn't just the incident at Manly. He got a lot of people offside at Roosters from what the papers said too.

Im still not convinced by Brooks he's had a lot of time to make the team his own and imo he's yet to do it. Yes i know he was half back of the year, but im sure im not the only one thats still unconvinced. Is Hastings the answer i dont know is he better i dont know that either. If we sign him and thats still a big if you have to imagine the powers that be arent convinced either.

For those saying the defence is rubbish - you're right it is. Look however at what Hastings does not the defence. He takes the line on, he backs up every play, he can throw a cutout pass or a soft pass, he has a good short kicking game, he is quick off the mark, he has time in his play. They all attributes a good half/5-8 has to have in NRL. Yep defences are up on you faster in NRL and hit outside runners easier but they guy has got what it takes to do well.
