Rumour on LU that Bulldogs are after MCK. I wouldnt blame him if he left or wanted to leave because he is unlikely to get much game time here, but 2nd row is where we have the least depth and he isnt on much so I dont see what we gain by letting him go?

Dogs are very thin after their top 13.

I would let him go as its unlikely he goes around in 2022 here.

Don't see him going this year and doubt he's re-signed, bulldogs have heaps of back rowers already though. Only reason we should keep him is because we don't have heaps of second rowers

Of course he’d be let go if he had an opportunity somewhere else. He’ll be low in the pecking order this year. Which he should always have been, but given lack of quality, players like him get a lot of game time.

Yes, I am not doubting him. Just that I think a fair few people have branded Gebbie unfairly. He speaks little English, got caught out like millions by Covvidd, was not part of Souths bubble...and left.

Now, if you know anything about the super league, players can't simply "sign" elsewhere as transfer fees are a factor over there. So, I am puzzled as to how Hastings has 'signed'.

Im getting that vibe from the majority of our current squad.

Excluding the Ivan reminent, Madge and the Tigers leadership are finally building the culture that we have wanted for our club.

There's size, speed,amix if speculative recruits, competition for positions and most of all some fun.

This year is for me the most important in recent history.

With a bit of luck, If things go well then we can ditch the reputation that has plagued us i. Recent years.

Agree, we’ve had a high roster turnover , around 14 players. The Biggest impact will be the loss of Benji, in a positive way of course. I didn’t like losing Moma, but we are flush with centres, particularly if Doueihi has to move there. WT recruitment has been very sound with a stronger, more experienced pack which will hold its own, and releasing the shackles on Brooks to give good service to a speedy backline. I won’t be surprised if this squad exceeds expectations.

Most pundits in the media and other fans rate this Tigers team as a bottom 4 squad.

They dont see what Madge is creating beneath the surface as we do.

**2021 is gonna be a big step forward if we can get through the first 4 rounds ok.**

The first four rounds is the absolute key for us...

We have a brutal start...really brutal.

Raiders away
Rorters
Then our two bogey teams Knights and Parra...

We could play really well in all four games and still be 0 and 4.

If we can end up 2 and 2 it will set us up for a really good season IMO.

0-4 and the pressure / media will be extremely bad and we likely will fold.

First month is huge.

Gebbie is probably not gonna be a guy that plays a lot of first grade. He's got some talent but unfortunately since he's from PNG he hasn't had the pathways of other players from Australia

As for Hastings we will have to wait and see. Clearly there is some discussions happening between him and the club. No need to be passive aggressive otherwise people won't want to post any rumours they hear

Pretty easy to tell who light actually have decent info and who doesn't. The Crichton guy had never posted before and never has since, probably a fan from another team

Nothing wrong with asking the question

I love their info too

But far too often they say it's a done deal

Will be announced soon

Than weeks later still nothing or they have stayed with their club and there has been nothing from the person who said they have signed

If they change their mind and don't come and these posters know it would be nice to hear

Just watched 1st half of Charity Shield. Some earlier posts doubted the need for big forward under the new rules. As always the big guys dominated and created the space on the edges. Good recruitment from the Tigers, it all starts up front. Souths look good, but Saints looked overpowered and disjointed, they don't look a confident side and made Souths look a class above.

Love if we could keep Gebbie for this season and settle him into our new system and take the time and care he will require to see the results in 2022 . Would love another larry in our team for many seasons to excite fans like m
