Hype for Volkman approaching that of Lazarus. I have no opinion personally.

I know we have Brooks but gee wiz I am glad we haven't got Croft... He is hopeless and would think he is close to been dropped. His time in Melb with the big 3 made him look like a superstar.

Now that Brooksy kicks goals, is he a less consistent version of Nikorima?
I like Niko, plus he has a chip on his shoulder for the Brissie Conko's...makes me like him more betterer.

I’m not an advocate for Croft but a couple of times his team mates got in his rode last night isolating his options.
Imo he was better than Milford

Update for all those who were devastated by the loss of San McIntyre.
You can travel out to Tugun this afternoon to watch him play for the Tweed Seagulls. Be quick as it's only a matter of time before coach Woolf recognises that McIntyre isn't up to Intrust Super Cup standard.

I wonder if the hype will reach the heights of Kieran Kerr. I remember 2004 a lot of people wanted us to drop Scott Prince for him.

He’s not afraid to take the line on.

I really like Brooks but in truth his unrealised potential is just that.

150 games is way to much time and excuses.

He's on top dollar and as yet hasnt been worth it.

Time to start looking for another for 2022

I'm starting to think Brooks can have a decent season this year,I think playing a top team like the Raiders round one wasn't ideal and the team forgot about the game plan and made too many errors. With Madge and players backing Luke I think he will start to play some good footy,the only thing that does worry me is the long kicking game where I'm hoping douehi may help.

Backrow is where we have the least amount of depth. Canberra have excess. Their reserve grade backrowers are better than Garner & MCK. With CHN still to come back we should be Raiding the Raiders backrow stocks for this year.

The new rules have widened the gap between the top teams and the battlers. Our roster is better but we are no hope of bearing Storm, Raiders, Roosters, Rabbits Panthers, Eels, Knights unless they play poorly. Basically at best we are battling Sharks, Titans, Eagles, Warriors, Dragons for 8th spot.

Only players off contract that would make a difference to this would be Jaydn Sua, Dale Finucane, Brandon Smith, Xavier Coates.

There are no halves available and there is a scarcity as it is in the NRL. We are way off and it will take years to correct our young players have to be our stars.

The new rules are great but with the most lopsided competition in years the NRL should do away with the salary cap it’s not working at all.

Coates would be a good get but it's hard to spend good coin on a winger when we've already got a winger on good coin. Finucane would be an excellent signing as well as would Smith

Best way to get good halves is to try pick up a good rookie and keep them at your club forever, most clubs aren't letting their good halves go because they're so valuable.
