We could suggest swapping Milford for MBye with the Broncs? He is on the nose with them so Kevvy might think of it as a win. They might get more value out of MBye and with less spotlight on him, Milford MAY go okay for us. Both on high value contracts so hard to move by their teams. Would partially placate two fan bases with one swap.

Mbye > Milford in my opinion.

Did you see his grabs the other night on Fifita? Last thing we need is Milford on an edge with our already turnstile ridden edges. Any decent team would identify it and just prod that all game.

Milford epitomises everything the wests tigers don’t need in a half. Lazy, poor defender that goes missing when the game isn’t a 40-0 flogging...sounds like Brooks except the difference is Brooks isn’t lazy and can tackle (sometimes).

Don’t want to sound like I’m having a go but huge no in my opinion would be a terrible backwards step.

Unfortunately Brooks needs a fresh start at another club. He doesn’t fit what we need at the moment and that is a commanding half.

Take a look at all the teams that have won a grand final in the last 20 years. Most, if not all teams had a highly regarded and experienced half steering the team around the park.

Johns, Prince, Cronk, Munster, Thurston, Reynolds etc.

A steady, dominant and experienced half like Reynolds for a couple of years would improve our team immensely.

I doubt we’d be paying any more money than what Brooks is on now given his age.

Pair that with Schuster and another quality back rower and we’ve got ourselves a team with top 8 credentials.

Imagine 1. Laurie, 6. Schuster, 7. Adam Reynolds ......

Don't know if Douhie is the answer at 6 either, could he be a centre

You can forget about getting any good playmaker coming or staying here with Brisbane 2 coming in for 2023.

Unfortunately Brooks needs a fresh start at another club. He doesn’t fit what we need at the moment and that is a commanding half.

Adam D next to a genuine half and he kills it. Brooks is like 4 times more experienced then him and he should be the main point not Adam. If Brooks doesnt fire soon I think coach will drop him again and give Madden a go but Adam D needs to stay at 6 IMO,

You can forget about getting any good playmaker coming or staying here with Brisbane 2 coming in for 2023.

There is not many around and the good ones will be retained at current clubs.. That's why we should be chasing Adam Reynolds big time and that would give us 2-3 more years to get his replacement. At least you know you would get a guy that can run a team and control a game week in week out.

I'd definatley go for him but if he's smart he'll at the very least sign 1 year at Souths then put himself in the marke for 2023. A new club will inflate a few wages. Signing with us would be a dumb move.

If we resign Joey again we have rocks in our heads the guy is a liability he won’t change, if we could shift Brooks I’d be all for it he needs a change. Zero tackle (yes I know) saying Brooks to the chooks and Reynolds to us on a 3 yr deal. That would be good for us if it happened but I know it’s pie in the sky stuff.

Nothing outrageous I know , but there’s been plenty of ex players dump on the club in recent years, to the point it makes you wonder if the reason we fail to attract marquee is the way we have treated players in the past
