I'd definitely chase Sua but dunno if he'll leave Souths - maybe with Bennett going he might leave, he followed Wayne there. Sebastian Kris would be an excellent signing I've wanted him for years

There's plenty of quality to chase.... they won't be cheap and they probably won't want to come here though

Thats not true. He doesn’t have a back issue and has been at every training session this season.

With Packer being off contract for 2022, there's somewhere around $700k/$800k we can spend on a second rower/prop (for 2022) right now.

Replacing brooks for Reynolds is an option sure, but why aren't we using that money mentioned above and negotiating with a new player right now? We could have signed that contract anytime in the last five months, since November last year! (Or maybe December after covid.)

BJ's likely on near half a million, maybe a little more, and he's got buckley's of being extended next year. We could sign a decent centre right now for next year, and say to BJ and Jet to battle out and we may offer a contract to the one who plays better. Let's see if that puts a rocket up them.

I know there's a dozen issues with our side, and Madge needs time because our focus is on youth and they need time to grow and develop together, but we also need positive structures around them whilst they're developing. Isn't that probably the biggest reason Brooks has had trouble, because he's practically never had a half decent ream around him (in the halves, in the forwards...)?

We should be signing players now, players like Seb Kris, Sam Williams (maybe?), Christian Crichton, William Kennedy, Tyrone Peachey (for lock), Dale Finucane, Nicho Hynes, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Nathan Brown (not as a marque, but if we signed a better player he'd be a good second player to buy), Jaydn Su'a, Egan Butcher... - they are only players Zero Tackle had as off contract next year (though I think some have already signed).

If there's any quality at the Sharks or Broncos, or Cows or Dogs, now's the time to make them an offer and their clubs may let them out.

Bottom line - we need some first grade standard centres/wingers now. Go get em WT.

As usual mate we are asleep at the wheel and every loss makes us a less attractive destination. We will end up with more nuffies and probably lose Doueihi, Stef and Laurie. Vicious cycle.

At least a minimum 6 players from the starting team yesterday need to be shown the door ASAP! The issue of no effort has to be addressed immediately .. I want players dropped for this coming week and really could not give a dame who replaces them ! If this does not happen tomorrow afternoon the sooner Maguire is gone the better .

The only silver lining if we have to withstand yet another year of mediocrity and being a rubbish team is if we can at least see the progress and probability that we are on the rise. If we lose some of our only promising youngsters, *again*, then that's going to make it very hard to keep the faith.

I hear you, but I'm not convinced guys like BJ, Roberts are our best. Surely the time is fast approaching to give someone else a chance.

Not just to win, but to compete with Souths this week, we are going to need a miracle, and maybe we need to promote some youngsters for that to be a chance of happening.

I get that but where was the intensity from our big names yesterday? Yes some of these guys have done things in the distant past but their hearts just aren’t in it. We’re picking guys on reputation alone.

Obviously the motivation to win games has been lost on many in this team ! Sorry the line has been crossed yesterday afternoon , this is not a lesson thus the need to search for anyone in reserve grade that has the desire for success !

I would start with a energetic fast moving dummy-half then build of that.

He should be starting every week as he is putting in the effort required for me. Agree with the rest though and would like Simpkin in 14 with game time to keep LIddle on his toes.

Well he's not a backrower, and should never play there again in his life. But as a prop he's very good

Him playing backrow was on Madge, not Joe.
When he has been playing middle he has been good, his effort running all over the park in defence alot of the others could learn from. He is one of the few really trying to have a dig.

2 focus areas for me

1. A backrower - priority order - Angus Crichton, Jayden Sua and Kurt Capewell.

2. Centres and Wingers - ditch Joey and JTJ next year and look for Corey Oates or Daniel Tupou on the wing and centres Kotoni Staggs, Brent Naden, sebastian Kris abd mayby Will hopoate abd pick 2 of those in that order. My other option for centre is to keep Moses Mbye - i think he is doing a fine job when playing centre and also a great back up. If we keep him on 4-500k

Then we make a decision on halves one way or another. Id keep Brooks but if not then bring in Shaun Johnson
