Reading the Mole comments it sounds like Dogs have got Naden over us and Eels.
Big money it sounds like so good luck to them paying overs for ANOTHER back.
We as a club could do with a big name signing to take some pressure off but very unlikely.

Naden's management asked for a counter offer late Sunday afternoon.
Our offer was 2 year deal $300,000 for year 1 & $350,000 for year 2.
Bulldogs have offered him $1.3mill over 3 years, averaging just shy of $450,000 a year.

Too much for us to pay I think.. At least we tried.
Any other news mate at this stage ? I would like us to try for Adam Reynolds to help the young spine we have.

Reynolds does not appear on our radar, looking to spend big money for 2022 but spread out over a few positions not all invested in one player, If Mbye was moved on faster/sooner then the extra $$ could change the targeting but long odds to be here, Expect him to be a Shark.

Cheers mate..
I would like to see us get some mongrel in the team like a Nathan Brown type of player

Speed & Impact that's the target moto for 2022.

An effective game plan and defensive structure might help too!

Will need a new coach for that :grimacing:

Naden is no real loss...but the Pom said he had "agreed to terms".

There is a clear pattern of DWZ...JAC...Naden all negotiating with us, agreeing terms...

And the their manager simply goes to the Dogs and says "offer more and the player is yours".

We need to be telling players "here is the offer...you have a timeframe to sign it".

Not continually be left hanging whilst their manager fields our offer and then shops around...like we are a last resort / back up plan.

Timeframes are the worst thing you can do. Players rarely ever sign when given an end date. How do you expect negotiations to work, players will always talk to one club get an offer then talk to another club and see if they can get more. It's not a new thing and it doesn't happen to only us

That's extremely, extremely disappointing. The most glaring weakness in the side, and a player that ticks almost every box and we're not even throwing our hat in the ring??

Unless Madge is getting sacked ..Reynolds and Burgi were the 2 main instigators for Madge's sacking at Souths ...he won't come

Reynolds and Burgess are/were two really good on-field players. What was the issue?

Overtraining mate ..even in 2014 players were complaining

Teo and Burgess led a revolt at a pre season training camp

Madge backed down

Burgess and Anasta were talking about this on one of the Covid programs they did on Fox

Do you believe Maguire is overcompensating for lack of strategic knowledge?

He doesn't have the playing personnel for the game plan

This side can't defend it's way to victories ..and can't attack its way to victories either ......I can't stand Rothfield , but what he said last night is true ....what is our recruitment game plan ...way too many mixed messages

Despite hearing we signed him, Naden has rejected our offer and will sign with the Bulldogs!...another one who rejected us for the lowly Dogs! :-(

**TIGERS SNARE ANOTHER ‘JIMMY THE JET’**

WWOS claims the Tigers have signed try-scoring freak Jimmy Ngutlik.

He initially impressed as a rugby union winger with a lethal combination of speed and slick finishing but then switched codes to join the Redcliffe Dolphins.

He had previously been playing for ACT Premier Division side Wests Lions.

Ngutlik had been on the radar of a number of NRL clubs according to WWOS and is expected to start in the Tigers’ Jersey Flegg team shortly.

He has the nickname of ‘Jimmy the Jet’.

Couldn't Disagree more!!!

He wouldn't command a spot on our bench in 2022

He left us when we needed him most.

Gebbie will get into first grade before him. Nice if we could have them both on the wings...both speedsters.

How though, we always miss the target with the good players, how do we break that cycle, and surely Madge is no player magnet, more repellant

What is the chance Mbye is gone this year and if not this year is he likely not here next year?

Our other one doesn't get any quality ball, even after 7 rounds he is standing out there waiting, and that is on the halves and or coach

Yeah but this one doesn't sting at all. Would have been filthy if we matched that Dogs offer.

I can’t wait to have a laugh at these bulldogs. $450k for Naden wowwww. $650k for Cotric. $500k for allan, $650k for JAC. DWZ is on over $600k. It’s the barrett revolution , play 10 backs in your team.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t think I’ve seen a backs move with depth, players in motion , that actually reaches the wing. I will judge Roberts attacking ability when he gets early ball often in the game.
