With all the doom and gloom at the moment, this is super welcome news. Thanks for your limited service Liddle, all the best at the bulldogs next season

Liddle won't have to call anyone. There'll be plenty lining up for him.

There is no reason why we cannot have two hookers of quality in the squad. Liddle is a loyal and fine player for WTs. I want him at WTs.

Here's a reason.
Liddle's a quality player that will snapped up by a top 8 club.
He's nobody's second fiddle.

Just throwing it out there he can't get a run in on the worst team in the comp at the moment.

He has the running game but needs to work on service

Yeah......because our mob's great at identifying actual talent aren't they.

Loved Sheens ability to find talent.
The Fan did something on Ruben Wiki last year and Vossy mentioned a whole heap of super talents discovered by him.

Brooks was one of his finds.

Actually Moses was. Brooks grew up playing for all our feeders. Moses was signed unwanted from Parramatta. Can’t credit Sheens for finding something that he did have to search for but I will credit him for identifying Moses.

Moses played SG Ball for Balmain. Was he actually recruited or did he just switch juniors?

The original point of my post was that we could use someone like him(with a keen eye for talent) in our personnel department. His first-hand experience with coaching and game knowledge would be handy in a compilation of things such as our football operations, scouting and roster management.

Not sure if anyone here has connections with the club but today on SEN this guy that has a ratings program said that the Penrith fullback and one of the manly centres in NSW CUP are rating as good as Tom Trbojevic was when he was there age. Said they will be the next big things. Definitely should have a look and try to poach especially from the panthers.

I do not think Liddle will want to play second fiddle to simpkin when he shoukd start at dogs or Titans or warriors

Sorry mate but Wade Egan is better than both our Hookers combined.
Big reason for why the Warriors are travelling well.

Egan was ordinary at Penrith still is ordinary Liddle is better than him

Egan came from Lithgow, another player Panthers got from the central west.

I recall reading an article where Sheens personally went to the Brooks' family home. He is one of Sheens' recruits.

I am absolutely sick of the way we do contracts, large multi year contracts with no KPI's or performance bench marks and no apparent consequences for playing crap other than being dropped occasionally for a week only to come back a week later. I know we would all like to see a return to win,lose and draw style match payments with a realistic sign on fee, but that's not going to happen,however what do you blokes think of only signing one year contracts. I know it sounds kind of weird, but we would always be in the market for every position, players are paid what they are worth, it would appeal to Super League players wanting to test the waters, players would have to back themselves every year and we wouldn't be hamstrung with under performing over paid players that have such a huge comfort zone that we end up seeing games like the Cowboys and Manly.
Packer: definite fail
Tamou: failed, but not from lack of effort, Madge doesn't give him enough game time and our young forwards aren't listening to him.
Joey: getting paid off performances form 4 years ago
JTJ: late ball, early ball, it doesn't matter, he is fast, but that's it, skill and fundamentals not at first grade level
Mbye: not good enough for one position and not justifying his wage.
Brooks: not hating, but lack of communication creates confusion and uncertainty in attack and after 8 seasons and 150 games he still isn't our on field general.
Nofo: played great last year, got resigned and doesn't play with the same intensity, seems very comfortable.
MCK: has all the skills but hasn't played to his potential.
That's a third of our salary cap just there. I don't know what do you blokes reckon.

Isn’t that exactly what we have done with signing Hastings & Gebbie (not Fiji but Papua)? I think the recruiting is on the right tract. Look at how well the lower grades are doing this year. That all bodes well for the future. Just hasn’t translated to NRL success yet.

He is a certain starter at clubs going better than us, so I completely see why he would agree to whatever terms at a club at the bottom of the table that he has to fight for a starting position...

Pretty sure they are the ones. Turuva ran for over 300m on the weekend. The amount of superstars Penrith have there’s no way they could offer him something decent. Tuipulotu is a fullback they are trying to mold into a centre as they have tommy. I would definitely be enquiring about both if I was the tigers.
