The Cowboys have secured Scott Drinkwater on a two-year contract extension, per News Corporation. The cows now have Chad Townsend, Tom Dearden & Scott Drinkwater signed as halves options in 2022.

Payten is bringing together a good Nth Qld side. I always enjoy league more when the Cowboys are going well. It is a rugby league stronghold deserving of a strong team.

Personally I enjoy it when the wests tigers are going well. Stuff the cowboys and their coach

I cant recall any clubs lining up for players coming over from Super League. Bateman, hodgson, Burgess etc. Just the nature of it. People heading down this rabbitt hole are just looking for justification of their opinion of the guy.

Jackson Hastings is a Great Britain international and Man of Steel. Can't understand why Ricky Stuart, being a pretty useful half in his day, preferred George Williams over him.

The Storm and Panthers are far ahead of other sides in the competition when it comes to developing players. The game has changed , but the requirements have not. Speed is crucial but the basics of tackling, kicking, offloading etc have not.
It is obvious these sides spend a lot of time at training developing these skills, and no doubt have specialist coaching staff for this. These basic skills were the basis of the great St George sides that won so many premierships, and other great sides since, and now the Storm. It is obvious to me that the Tigers are lacking in these basics, and more thought should be given to aquire specialists in these areas.

Daine for example had went home from the start of the week, wonder how you gel and make combos when you're away.

Putting a team of pommy's together likely keeps them together
And who said Ricky didn't try and get Hastings
And Hastings probably wasn't interested in coming back at that time
Hastings has probably achieved what he set out to do in England
Now he may be on a mission down under

I’m surprised Hastings joined us tbh. I can’t image we are paying big coin and there are loads of clubs looking for a good half...

Maybe cos he isn’t that good. The fact that clubs weren’t lining up for him should be a giveaway.

Can't wait to actually see if he's any good before deathriding him... or just hoping he doesn't come good so you can say 'I told you so'?

The standard of ESL is at best the same quality as KOE. It’s a safe assumption to think he’s not better than anyone whose already here.

I would be surprised if he is not better then, TT, the Phantom JTJ, the spack attack JL, the song and a prayer Cini, and the fans second favourite Nouffa last years great winger ?

Everyone is disappointed with his departure, CK more than anyone because he didn't take Brooks with him so his idol Jackson could grace us with his lack of pace.
