Seyfarth also playing himself into a new deal, early discussions for a 2 year extension. Madge is a big fan of this kid & his efforts over the last 2 weeks shows why.

Seyfarth was one of the most criticised players on this forum. Ironic really as he is one of the players who eptomizes what a Balmain and Wests player should be about; toughness, fitness, never say die spirit. Well done young fellow.

A lot of forum members have no eye for potential. 'The player you are now is all you will ever be.' Seyfarth was underdeveloped physically when he played FG in 2020. It was always too soon to judge his capabilities. Just like Tommy Talau. People are writing him off so early in his career. He hasn't even been given a decent opportunity in his preferred position (right centre). He too is nowhere near his finished product. There is a reason why Madge and co. didn't want to trade him for Josh Addo-Carr.

I admire the determination to sign both players. I don't agree with all the publicity. It's on 7 News this morning as a raid We should have asked the Army if we can use the SAS or the US Army for Delta Force and Chuck Norris. This has the potential for an own goal if the mission is unsuccessful.

The media have made a massive story out of it hoping it doesn’t happen so they can gleefully put the slipper in again.

They just happened to get spotted on the plane and the journalists did their digging. It's a shame because if it's a first meeting it's probably a good chance of a discussion and the players saying they'll think about it but nothing comes of it

Of course as you said the media will go bananas if we don't sign them.

To be honest if we are flying up days after being up their for magic round then I think discussion are further along than a first meeting. Madge didn't fly back to Sydney until Sunday so flew back up 3 days later.

I think Isaako is keen but it is more if the Broncos are willing to let him go.

Hopefully we can get something done with them. Isaako would be a major get for us if we could get him this year to play wing.

I think the issue is that the best players usually burst onto the scene. Think Burton or Sam Walker. Yes some guys like Finucane or Wade Graham get much better with time, but if you look at the coaching carousel, it’s a win-now league, clubs don’t have time to be waiting 3 years for a player to catch fire. Look how the best teams act with guys like Croft and Flanagan. It doesn’t pay to be patient.
