We could possibly get an international level player who’s still young?
Yes he hasn’t been that impressive at the dogs, but who has? Flanagan, cotric and the dude from reynolds aren’t doing anything spectacular and half of you guys wanted them.
Dallin was very impressive at the panthers and only left due to a fallout with Cleary (that’s a match made in heaven for us) he does the dirty runs and loves putting on a hit. Brings experience for us!!
The people complaining saying that this will effect our juniors.. are you guys the same people that complain when our rookies make
Mistakes, the amount of whiners that complain when Talau makes 1-2 mistakes a game even when he has a strong game have grown in the last few weeks.
We need a good mix of experience and juniors, I would like to see 1-2 spots for our juniors to play consistent first grade footy if they earn it, I do believe we gotta keep Talau in the team for the future as he’s our best junior atm.
I doubt Joey will be here next year! Mybe will be gone. Honestly probably release or lose 1-2 junior’s, I reckon Hoffman will be gone.
Btw we got offa from the wooden spooners last year and now he’s playing origin, I can see similar things happening for Dallin.
A former international, who's in career worst form, with an incredibly inflated salary. Who's departure would free up considerable cap space for a rival who has already signed a number of elite players, while we're left signing discards.
It makes us look like a joke. Bargain hunters rather than a club that wants to contend for the premiership asap
Well written BB and when you read it, the obvious conclusion is why would any club be interested? The only answers are the obligatory he is cheap (even though he hasn't played well for years) and it's about all our coach can attract.
The other way to look at it is that all the other stuff (Bulldogs other signings etc) are completely irrelevant to WT. At the end of the day Madge and Hartigan must simply look at a player and say we have a player in front of us with X amount of ability, plays in a position we are weak in and will cost us $Y. Does all of that fit and add up, the rest is irrelevant.
Exactly - I doubt they are worrying about bulldogs cap at all. They've got half a squad to fill us signing one guy doesn't change much for them especially if they're still paying half his contract.
