Sharpies have also told Dugan and SJ they won't be required next year

It means little if they have contracts next year with the Sharks.

Both off contract

It's funny how people who go Moses and other players, call them dogs etc now support Woods coming back to the club.

Screw that rubbish.

The guy was club captain and tried to take all our good players to another club.

The absolute last player id let back in the club.

He’s a grub who thought he was bigger than the club. Think of the Hooper interview where he threw the club under the bus. Around that time he was also a regular on NRL 360. He never once defended the club or spoke on behalf of the club. He was looking out for himself. To do all that as captain, made him one of the most selfish players I can ever remember.

No one in this forum would ever throw the club under the bus...

We’re supporters. Even if we do, we don’t walk away. Players on the other hand

He left under Cleary's watch. What's your opinion of Cleary, one of our greats? Ever talked Cleary up yourself?

I’m failing to see how that’s relevant? If he was loyal to the club, wouldn’t have mattered who the coach was.

Can't be bothered explaining...

No, please do. Don’t back down.

The Jason Taylor years were a nightmare from which it was going to be very difficult to recover. I had a conversation with Siro at the time who told me how frustrated Curtis was at being lied to all the time by Taylor. The players hated Taylor. Woods was the glue in a side when certain players were threatening mutiny. When the club shafted Taylor, who by the way was brought in to do a certain job, and signed Cleary, it really hit the fan. Woodsy wanted to stay. He was club captain and wanted to be a Tiger for life. He loved the Tigers and he thought they loved him. When Cleary offered a his old mate, a convicted criminal 200k a season more than the club captain, to play the same position, it kind of rubbed people the wrong way, particularly when Woods had only ever done his best for the club. He asked if he could be upgraded to the same money as the crim and was told to look elsewhere if he wanted more money. It's common knowledge now that we wasted 800,000k for 3 seasons when we could have kept, at the time, the best front rower in the game.

Sorry, but how long was there a contract on the table before Cleary was appointed. He could have been a leader and put pen to paper any time in the previous 12 months. The crim was signed after Woods decided he was too big for this club.

This is not his home.

Trashed us when we wanted and needed him.

I hope the club is very very aware of the anger held towards him.

We didn't want him, that's the point

We did, he and teddy and Brooksy.

He left for money ro the dogs and they turfed him

That's not surprising from Cleary. The same guy criticised Moses for wanting to go mid contract, and then broke his own contract, followed by blowing kisses to his former club's fans.

Don't think we've ever had a bigger weasel at the club than Ivan.

There are plenty of reasons why Woods/Teddy/Moses wouldn't sign why Taylor was coach. No player with any ambition would have signed a contract with the club then.

Cannot fathom people are contemplating bringing back Woods.

Do some really want our WT to remain a recycling depot for former players or a footy club looking to move forward?

Re the constant bagging of ex Tigers players, I don't agree'.

Teddy, Moses and Woods were great players for us, and at that time our club was a complete shambles. I would have left if i was in their shoes.
This is a professional game now,and the clubs would , and should move you for a better player. The player likewise should follow his career path or the dollars. How many juniors are in our top 30 ? The same with other clubs ! Very few players last more then 5 yrs in the top grade,(just a guess).

This club loyalty thing , is very thin in todays game.

Nup...theres a difference between not being loyal to the club that developed and invested in you vs orchestrating a mass exit of the clubs best 4 players and then being dishonest about it ,with the sole outcome being the club gets absolutely smashed for several years
..and as topspin got the coach punted ..again a campaign behind everyones backs
That was Aaron Woods.
Shld never wear a tiger jersey again.
..and btw..Moses was never "great"for us...just a work in progress.Still is...

Do you really think Woods organised a mass excodus ! You are delussional.

Yeah - Dogs were waiting for Woods to give the go ahead to talk to Teddy's manager. And Teddy was sweating on Woods to get him a good deal. It's laughable.

nothing to do with woods getting approval from his manager at all for the dogs, the issue the three at the dogs fell apart was Des did not want Mitchell Moses.
Teddy got Jack when his mate was not getting signed by the dogs with him and Woods and he did what Teddy does and that is backflip and join the Roosters.
Woods got stuck at the dogs and the rest is history ruined his rep career.
I would have Woods back on a modest deal he is better than Musgrove at least
Props
Tamau
Woods
Twal
then you have
Mikaele
Stefano
good depth

Tamou and Woods - yesterday’s heroes, would be a backward step, imo

No place for Woods imo - but the venom directed at him for moving on is over the top. He served his contract more admirably then plenty of other duds we have signed and for a lot less that's all you can expect from any player.

Yeah made all the more worse because most of us thought he was actually a nice guy!

The club is desperately trying to amend the mistakes of the past. They are building for the future

I'd suggest the ones letting the Wests Tigers down are the fans still holding a flame for guys like Woods.

Stand for something. Be better.

Brain aids!

Yeah true and he is the only one who actually received any karma for his actions! All the other knobs that screwed us have gone onto much bigger and better things, even that flog Aloiai is reaping rewards playing in a better side than ours 😔

Lol we just signed Nofo for 4 years and are looking to sign DWZ and apparently Sam Burgess. How’s that building for the future exactly? I’d suggest the ones letting the Wests Tigers down are the ones making those stupid decisions.

Wanting something different to me doesn’t make you more of a fan than me.

Well according to Tigerballs, playing under Cleary was a detriment too apparently. Ask Panther players if they think that’s true.
