Here's an idea
Next year if we have lots of cash spare after packer and mybe leave, but can't attract any big name players.

Why not burn up some younger talent on minimum wage. The say to the playing group we are investing in you - $4k to the top 17 for each win up to 12 wins.

Thats $816k

If we don't make 12 wins - then the 3, 2, 1 players of the year as selected by the coaching staff get $272k bonus each.

But we’d win 5-6 games and only 3 blokes would be happy in the club. Sort of like now.

But now its upside down.
you have guys not putting in like packer, BJ and Mybe on $6-800k
And guys putting in like Laurie, Seyfarth, Ute and blore on $150-250k

At least we can reward results, effort and attitude

Too much mental baggage for Tamou and Nofa ...the pressure from fans needs to be spread over 3 players ...and Milf .....water off a duck's back ...he is a foot shorter since he joined Brisbane .....

I fully agree that performance incentives need to be a part of the solution. It would be hard to say to a Dale Finucane though, mate we’re putting you on a bonus for number of wins, the obvious response is, “where are the winners”

I'd be shopping Nofo tbh.

I’m a massive Watson fan, but yeah stuck with Hastings now.

Not sure what to expect but have to give him a chance I guess.

Lazy players are really exposed by the pace of the game - it's passed plenty of players by. The positive about players like Watson is his energy level is obvious and impacts immediately on others on the field. He is another utility player but he at least gives value on the field.

A moving scene for sure. For another idea, the steeden can be filled with my ashes. As the opposition kicks it to Nofo’s wing on the full, ashes fly out as he attempts to tap it away, not realising his foot is 5m in from touch.
