Dogs after Vaughan per SMH

Not surprising, makes sense for them. Good player but he's clearly a troublemaker and he's no leader so I'm unsure of whether we should pursue him or not. Getting older too

True, but credit to the dogs for being so proactive. Their team next year will be much improved on this year.

Finally getting a forward pack together with some quality backs. Credit to them.

When you think about it ,Kent is trying to help the Wests Tigers make some smart calls

He was right in what was said - we don't have enough winners here. We need real competitors who are willing to do what's necessary to win a premiership. Seems our current 'premiership' is making the 8.

You only need to look to Ash Barty for how to prepare, set goals, do what's required to achieve. Look at the Cronks, Slaters, Clearys who do extras after every session.

I'm happy to defend Nofo when I think his defence is incorrectly criticised but I feel it's unforgivable turning up to training hungover. This demonstrates someone not willing to do what's necessary. You have training tomorrow you stay off the turps and leave early. I would have given him a couple of weeks in Reserves.

In my triathlon days we often left early because we had training the next morning - and we were genuinely nuffies - not professionnals getting paid a small fortune.

We have an attitude problem, we need competitors like JWH, B Smith, Munster etc

Whilst I don’t think he’s a gun in terms of playing ability, maybe that’s what the Tigers recruitment see in Hastings. He’s ultra competitive and driven to succeed from all reports. Maybe we’re trying to fill the squad with this mindset irrespective of ability?

Players seem to like Barrett for whatever reason, he's a crap coach. They'll still miss finals though

We try to sign good players problem is they don't wanna come here ? can't say we don't give it a go

I don’t think Barrett is an attraction, I think it’s more he’s not a deterrent.

I wonder if the Sirro tweet today is hinting at anything. He has a certain son that is off contract in a position that we suck at.

Probably too much conspiracy there, but seemed random content to tweet.

If its the Curtis Sironen's of the world that we are pursuing, we can look forward to 14th spot for many seasons to come....

Exactly, Curtis is injury prone, we’re not The Family Club, he was happy to leave previously and he’s not good enough to warrant Prodigal Son entitlements.

I don’t necessarily disagree but his form last year was better than any of our backrowers

He is not the answer. He is being pushed out because there are younger, better players coming through

Agreed. I think Josh Reynolds was in the same vein but spent most of his time injured. We need guys with a will to win.

JWH was amazing last night - dragged the team along with him and not scared to give them a serve when they're not playing with sufficient intensity.

Nah, players seem to like Baz for sure. Players don't want to come to Tigers, wouldn't matter if we had most coaches really

Do you think our recruitment for 2022 has been better than the Dogs?

I’m sure people were complaining about their clubs when we were making all those signings in 2017. How did that go?

No I think they’re going to have a heap of good outside backs and no spine to speak of, not to mention a salary cap that’s out of shape. I do acknowledge there’s things happening there compared to here and am happy they’re not happening here though

Dufty at fullback and Burton at 6 is a big upgrade on what they have this year. My point is they are improving their roster. Im not sure you could say the same for us?

I take your point but You don’t think Douehi and Laurie was a change we made, albeit last year. I think the Dogs are heading for Dessie MkII
