Im wondering what we see happening with Pagua. Youd think if her performs ok he would be in line for an nrl contract next year. Given we already have Talau, Douehi, Kepoa, Hoffman, Nofa, Maumalo, Gildart in the outside backs and Mbye i guess then limited spots left

Have heard Hoffman may move on as he feels he was due an op before Pagua based on convos with coach.

Guess we'll see what Pauga is made of on Sunday arvo. From what I've seen of Hoffman this year, he's no world beater.

Personal sense is, Hoffman's too slow for centre and not big enough for the 2nd row.

Agree, not a massive loss if he moves on.

Plenty of centres not that quick , Jamie Lyon and Matt Gidley two of the better ones, it’s a defensive position in the best sides. Can the Hoff use his shoulders?

Time to get serious and professional, as in the Joker song,- You have to know when to hold them, and know when to throw them. We continually hold onto underrated players, Cini , Hoffmann and others will never be what we need. If they are not scoring tries, and or looking exceptional , find the kids that are!

Chris Johns was an extremely under rated centre ...extremely good defensively ...reasonably quick .....great hands

Maybe he was only reasonably quick but he was a winner. And smart. Like Chris Mortimer. Chris Mortimer was a beast. A no holds barred, never say die winner. Never got dominated. Ever. I hate the Dogs but I love the Mortimers.

The only tackle I remember Chris Mortimer missing was Lewis when he scores THAT try in the backs against the wall win in SOO

Langer ,Meninga , Vautin ,Hancock and then Lindner going off with about 7 to go from memory .....

Seems like an incredibly stupid and naive question. Surely all clubs have known what the rules are for some time. We do what we can to get someone from outside and then promote someone like Pauga if necessary

They have him playing out of position anyway due to injuries.. He is not the best fullback but a big fan of his talking and organising the team.

Exactly my thinking - strange comment to make. Says we're no closer to signing anyone OR any potential signing involves a swap.

Surely we give up on this stupid wait and see approach now. Start pre season training with a settled and united 30 man squad.

I’ll tell you one player who definitely has a future in the NRL — Will Pryce from Huddersfield Giants. Hasn’t played a whole lot but big wraps on him over there. Made his debut the other week. Plays as a stand-off over there, 18 years old and seems like a good kid

He’s the son of former Great Britain great Leon Pryce if anyone knows him
