Inside man is saying we are targeting Jayden Sullivan. Anyone got some Intell on that?

Great talent. He's already played NRL. This is what Ian Millward had to say about him -

"This is a great moment for the Dragons with the signing of Jayden, especially when a number of clubs were in for him. He's an exciting prospect and everyone at the club are really keen to see him make the step up," Millward said.

"Jayden has been in the club's plans for a long period of time and we feel he has all the qualities to be a successful NRL player. He's an outstanding attacking player with a great attitude. He has great vision and is a capable goal kicker as well.”

According to his Drags profile he is signed up for a few more years with them?

I would really like for us to give a player like ogden a run on these comming weeks...if he is available

Don’t think it should happen, because as small as the chance us, we are still in the hunt for top 8, also we are a chance to improve on last year’s results which should keep a few wolves from his door?

ullivan was promoted to the first grade squad and extended his contract for a further three seasons ahead of the 2020 season.

A development player in 2020, Sullivan moved into the club's Top 30 in 2021 with one first grade game under his belt after debuting in the Dragons' last game of the 2020 season.

The local Wests Devils junior Sullivan captained the Steelers' SG Ball team to premiership success over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 2019 and has represented the Under-18s New South Wales Origin team.

Perhaps with Mbye moving their may be a possibility of a deal being struck? Let's hope so anyway because he is a fine player.

I don't think they're going to give away one of their best young players for someone we're desperate to get rid of.

Great listen to Madge on Triple M about building our roster for the future.
https://www.facebook.com/418841445318442/posts/1071051320097448/?d=n

He makes a lot of sense on that interview and good to hear he dropped a few names in the current squad who he's obviously keen to keep long term and build the squad around.

The focus is clearly on developing youth so I'm very interested to hear who may pick up development contracts for next season and whether we can keep the bulk of this years' Jersey Flegg squad together.

We have had 3 competent coaches in our history. Tim Sheens, Ivan Cleary and Madge. One ran his race the other ran away. The club has to stick to their plan and not buckle under media pressure.

They know what they offered players like Latrell, Fox, Finucane, TPJ. Evidently they know we have to pay overs to get top tier talent. Wisely they will build and attract top tier players when we are a better footy team.

Well next year Madge has the tools there to push for a 7th or 8th placed finish. Needs to start getting his team selections

Unfortunately 'big name' often just means someone who's well known at our club and that they played origin a few times 7 years ago ?

off contract at the end of 2022. if it's true about us making a play it explains why it will happen after November 1, as we can negotiate with him at that point.

https://www.zerotackle.com/storm-legend-names-intriguing-destination-for-eels-skipper-108266/

**Storm legend names intriguing destination for Eels skipper**

Melbourne Storm icon Cameron Smith has named the Wests Tigers as the team which should make a play for the reportedly attainable Parramatta Eels captain Clint Gutherson.

Smith is of the belief Gutherson could attract big money, especially from a team such as the Tigers who are in need of a major leadership presence

Then we definitely shouldn’t go for Gutho.

Depends how much Gutho is asking - one thing he does particularly well, which Laurie struggles with is support play - we've hardly ever got someone in a position to take an offload and make something of it. It also opens up another dimension to the WT spine, as I think Laurie would make a good 6 - I think Doueihi is ok there, but his ball service can be lacking robbing our outside backs of opportunity. If we're talking 1 million, no thanks, but if it's around the 800k mark, I think it's worth considering.

The question is, where do the WT rate Gutho on their value scale?

What do you do with Laurie?

Play him at 6.

Hey Willow,I have a question for you in regards to the lower grades that Im not familiar with....

If their season has ended early as Covid takes hold.will KOE Cup,Flegg etc continue on as usual next year with the same players or will we lose players that may have been reasonable depth for us this year..?

That's the big unknown right now - a lot of these blokes have jobs outside of football because they're obviously not earning big dollars - we had a bloke from St George Illawarra a couple of years ago - his name escapes me but he was a powerfully built centre, highly regarded as a junior...anyway, he looked good for us but with the season being a write off last year, he gave the game away and joined NSW Police from memory - we may lose more players off the back of COVID not giving a stuff about job security for society.
