I still think we should get another half for next year. Hastings is an unknown quantity and i'm not sure what the future holds for Brooks. Taylor at $250k is a low risk, high upside proposition.

I'd honestly rather Taylor over Pearce. i'm not saying we should go out and sign him, but I feel there's far more upside to Ash Taylor than Mitchell Pearce.

Because he’s out for so long I’m pretty sure Brooks will stick around but to imply that Doueihi would struggle to get back into the 6 jersey is just plain stupid tbh. Say AD is back in round 5, Brooks and Hastings would have to steer us to 4 wins and play like an origin pairing.

I would take Junior. Club needs to shaft Brooks regardless of injuries/outgoings.

Tbh think we really need a starting prop to partner Stefano and a left centre before anything else.

If your basing that off this game I thought Mikalee was excellent at prop our problem was he was replaced with a hybrid prop / backrower whom after 100 games should play with more intent but doesn’t. Since he got dropped from origin he has gone backwards at a rate of knots. Really needs to do some soul searching over the off season or he’ll be lining up next to Musgrove for Wests in the front row next year.

He only got 13 mins which I found odd but he puts himself in the contest. His a different body shape to our other forwards which is handy and wouldn’t cost much coin. His one in my opinion we should continue to build with. Strong defence and is fast for a forward.

AD isn’t our best player, Stefano is.

That aside AD needed an off season to focus on his defensive weakness which is huge as well as combinations which is just as important. He doesn’t have that & at this rate may have even longer on the sidelines than 1st expected.

I doubt Madge has even had a talk about next years starting combination let alone what they will be once AD is back. Pre season, injuries and form at the time will drive a decision.

He's not perfect but how many times has he failed to guide his team to the finals? If we could get him with Knights chipping in it would put less pressure on other players to do the organising.

Cheekam would be a massive fail if we re-signed him on an NRL contract. Give him a NSW cup deal, sure, but really he's a hopeless centre and a weak backrower. Not NRL standard in either position. Would rather have Ogden covering centre, or Tuilagi in back row. Garner becomes the utility.

Hi BB, at this stage in his career it is a big no thanks from me, Madden did well yesterday and with the influence of Sheens I believe he has the potential to become a good NRL half. I enjoyed his passing and kicking yesterday and it is refreshing to see a young fellow have a dig. Tamou also spoke pre-game about how enthusiastic he is and how hard he works.

He is coming back from an ACL reco and we saw the best work our halves have done all year yesterday. Eventually he probably will be good enough to take back the 6 jersey, but if a Brooks/Madden combo goes well again next week and then continues for the first 4-6 rounds next year then when he comes back it'll be in the centres

We've all seen what Madge thinks of preferred positions, if Doueihi in the centres is what's best for the club that's what he will do. Brooks 5/8, Madden 1/2, Doueihi in the centres.
