Know Franklin Pele personally, might be hard to sway him away from Cronulla as let’s just say they look after him pretty well $$$ - BUT was promised more game time last year and wasn’t given as much as he had hoped he’d receive…. so maybe just maybe

Considering the Sharks didn't have the most successful year, it is interesting that they didn't give him any game time. I wonder if he was in the bubble? Tigers could surely match or better the $$$ on offer with our cap space available in coming years. Madge could bring Pele in similar to Stefano this year with the game time he received. Would be a great pickup if it happened. Big 'if' still though.

Them letting go of woods doesn’t really do us a lot of favours. Couple of my mates know him too, said he’s always been that big

Where did all the Spencer Lenui talk come from (a couple of weeks back)?
Maybe he's a player we have tabled an offer to.

He's got one year left on his contract, on 300k. Mostly featured off the bench, playing 10-20 mins a game and wants more. Panthers have reportedly admitted they might need to cut him loose and re-sign two youngsters on 150k instead.

He's very close to Blore, and also mates with Laurie and I think played junior reps with Stefano too.

He's quite attainable. Offer him 400-425 for the next two years with an option and get the boys to put in a good word. Then push for immediate release.

Don’t think “boys put in good words”. They all realise it’s a business. And any club that tells its players to get in the ears of opposition players are unprofessional.

Don’t really rate Spencer. Would rather have Franklin Pele from the sharks. Massive unit and mobile.

I know nothing else about Pele but if he's half that effective in the NRL, he and Stef together could be massive bookends.

Off contract at end of next year. Available as of November 1to table a contract

Don’t think we’ve come in with a formal offer, but I do think paths have been crossed in terms of discussions - I don’t know that much about it as he keeps it to himself.

Sharks do rate him highly, and promised him a lot more game time then he actually received don’t know why he didn’t get much opportunity tbh - they basically have given him one of the new units next to shark park for him and his partner so they do treat him well

Maybe if we come in with more money and additional game time it’s not mission impossible - all depends on what Fitzgibbon sees in him
