Wonder if we sign Peachy whether we might be open to offloading Liddle. We surely wont carry a hooker on the bench with Hastings and possibly Peachy coming. Just a thought i reckon post season we will still see a heap of musical chairs.

Highly doubt the club would look at shopping Liddle.

I'd be cranky about it if we did shop Liddle. He's finally had an injury free season and still has improvement in him plus we don't need to get rid of first grade players.

Maybe he is one of the anti- Madge brigade … or we have a bigger fish (cheese) lined up?

@helmesy on WT pod said Liddle is off madge but I couldn't find a media source? Unless it was inside goss?

Think theres a reasonable chance Bellamy will release Munster before next season starts to a Qld club for next year, given player has publicly stated he yearns to" return home" in 2023
Besides having had very n ordinary 18 mths on the footy field for both Storm(they looked considerably better with Hynes at 6,who is now gone) and in SOO where he was invisible ,plus his coke habit, and worst of all Munster looked way overweight dancing on that table and iy=t was just after the prelim final
Bellamy wld be fuming, and quite possibly may take a stand to clearly set standards within the team
And whichever Qld club takes him in 22, may have to shed players to accomodate Munsters $700k..quickly

Gildart has defence like Swiss cheeze

But is he fast and does he know his way across the try line?

He's a centre...

He'll leak more tries than he scores.
Much like forum punching bag Nofo.

Gildart - I smell a Mark Flanagan 2.0

Not even close...

But hopefully just walking into an NRL game gives him some new found confidence and courage.

Dream on. We'd be the last club Smith would consider joining.

Maybe they're shopping liddle cause they're cashing in on simpkin instead of signing someone they're gonna make him the next project

Next year they gotta invest a lot in Jake Simpkin. Needs to be playing off the bench almost every week if not starting. Don't want him playing full games every week at this point but slowly increasing his minutes throughout the year seems smart

He’s not even 20 yet. He’ll be fine.

Like I said they don't need to rush him but he should be playing almost every week even if it's only 20 minutes. Liddle had an average year and there's not many good hookers floating around to sign so Simpkin will need to be starting for us in a couple years time.

Then you've got to move on obviously but you don't know until you try and he's shown plenty of signs of becoming a pretty good player. Not everyone works out so you never know but I reckon he'll become a good first grader

Am I missing something?
There was and seems to have been plenty of players on the market that would have been a upgrade on what we have.
What is stopping us from doing this?

The players need to be cost effective and in many cases have gone to the other clubs for "overs"(dogs). We have tried that approach far too many times, simply it rarely works.

Peachy can do a job.
I like this signing.

Smart.

Very smart, he has skill. Off load Brooks. Play Peachy at 6, Hastings at 7, Douehi 3 and Gildart 4.

Gildart won't see a lot of FG, if any. Peachy provides some utility value so I'd be playing him at 14.

I find it very difficult to believe we’ve brought him over to play KOE cup

Project player.

AFL do it all the time.
He's probably on a low salary and if he makes it, it's good and if he doesn't, it doesn't matter too much.

He's not a first grade player at this stage.
A lot of work to do.

Expectations are seriously low but he doesn't have much competition at this stage so if he impresses the spots his for the taking. From what I've seen though he ain't taking anything except a beating though.

Havent seen him play so wont comment on if he walks into the 17 but the guy has 4 tests to his name. I cant imagine he would be a lowly paid project player.

I also find it very hard to believe an English outside backs would leave the UK and his home for little money. The people that assume he won’t play are just the people who don’t rate him off highlight packages and a couple SL games

I think you would be surprised how little pommies get paid relative to us. The Super League Salary Cap is only AUD$3.9M (exemptions for one marquee) so the money isnt the same over there.

Do you think any player, and that is from junior rep through to elite NRL player will come to us for market value. Demand and supply will always force a club like us to pay overs and if we are not willing to pay overs we will only attract players who are damaged and have no demand. Basically we have to target good young players who are road blocked in good systems who are flying under the radar
