For once it would be great if the club was talking to a player in his early to mid twenties who is quality, who has zero injury concerns and who has not been sacked by his previous club for off field issues.

Dream on it’s the Weststigers we are talking about, always trying for a miracle signing.

Lucy? Hastings? Maumolo? Gillart? Joffa?

Your definition of quality is a little different to mine

Lucy - everyone's favourite player last year
Hastings - ESL man of Steel and England rep
Maumolo - 2019 NRL winger if the year and NZ rep
Gildart - England rep
Joffa- Qld rep

Lucy…terrible defender, bench backrower at very best

Hastings…man of steel is equivalent to reserve grade player of the year. I think he could add something but no super star.

Maumolo…solid winger, but nothing more. Good in the air but not quick and tends to be a Little Rock’s and diamonds.

Gildart,.. English backs in recent times have struggled big time in the NRL, most people I talk to think he will struggle to make the 17

Joffa..Goes okay in the middle but struggles big time defending on a edge. I actually like because he has a dig and shows some enthusiasm, but he is middle of the road at very best in the ability stakes.

That’s my slant on things but happy to be proven wrong

I wouldn’t count on it. Sheens has been out of the NRL for almost a decade. He’d be relatively…not unknown amongst the players, but none were around when he was coaching. I don’t think he’ll have the same reputation he had a decade ago. Should do a good job at locking up the right juniors though.

Football wise hodgo is a good buy I don't know why everyone is saying he's past it hes gone when some were calling for us to sign benji a few weeks back hodge can provide off field aswell leading the boys more than tamou has been and will spend more time on the field and if he gets injured jake will come up and play hook

Liddle on his best day is hodgson on his worst I appreciate liddles passion for the joint but hes a liability and blames other players for his decisions

Very very few wanted to sign Benji a few weeks ago,nothing against Hodgson but i see little value in him just another Ballin and people told me "He was great value off the field".We need value ON the field not off it

Ash Taylor officially signed with Warriors on a train and trial contract. Thought that rumour about him coming here was rubbish.

It's good news as I think Taylor and Brooks would have been a disaster.

He's a competitor and niggler on the field and thats what I like about him and thats not a bad thing playing in the hooking position either . Plenty of pea hearts and blokes that look like they don't give a damn in the squad that need to be weeded out.

And having a few English players here already would make it even more attractive for UK talent. Plus Brett Hodgson is coaching over there now, I'm sure Sheens and Brett Hodgson would still be close.
