If we don't get rid of Brooks now we'll be stuck with him until his contract runs out. Short term pain for the greater good, madden or peachey can play 6 until Doueihi is back. Not like we are making finals next year anyway

Please no second hand older players like Klemmer, maybe he can find his way back to his true love Sharron

Klemmer is only 27. He's got a good 3 -4 years before he'd start dropping off a cliff

Getting very close to that cliff , playing as backup at the knights right now

Modern game has passed him by unfortunately as it has many big guys who were playing big minutes in the middle ...a lot of these blokes who were 3rd man in on tackles and gave defences extra moments in defence are clearly useless in the modern game as they can't cope with the speed of the ruck once it rolls .....

Greater good? You really have no idea.

Brooks ain't suddenly changing after 8 years. He's an alright halfback but will never be a great one. It's time the club stopped believing he will be something he's not and lead the team around. a change of scenery would be good for him personally as well.

Brooks is a very good NRL half.

Disagree thoroughly with that assessment. He's an NRL half with above average running game and support play. But his kicking, decision making, game management and passing longer than a short ball is well short of NRL standard

All of the skills you criticise Brooks for are way easier to execute behind a forward pack that gets you rolling. Most of the forwards Brooks has had are plodders, washed up or in England. But keep trolling.

Mate, why was AD be able to hit people with Long balls for tries, or hit floating torpedo bombs on the odd occasion Brooks wasn't given the ball on the last? He lacks certain skills that a key playmaker requires. Identifying his weaknesses is not trolling. Responding to any criticism of Brooks with sarcastic comments and no constructive arguments like pawsandclaws is trolling

Yes but just as many times Douehi blew tries by not using the simple game of going through the hands with catch , commit defender and pass ...Adam's game management if it is better than Brooks isn't much if it better than Brooks

Problem is Brooks is getting paid twice as much as Douehi and is probably mentally a lost soul as far as the WT's are concerned ....

If you're referring to WT beating the Knights, I believe Newcastle were without Ponga and Pearce in both games.

Option 'B' is always under less pressure. They either receive the ball when defence is looking at option A or are allowed to overcall for the ball when there is something on. Additionally, he did not do this anymore often than Brooks did. Watch some highlights or look at the stats to see this.
I agree there are limitations to Brooks game, i just cannot understand how he is thought of as the reason the Tigers are struggling.

People look at attack only or they overlook the physical side of the game. In defense and physicality we have been sub par since Gareth Ellis left.

I just can't always tell which ones are clear and which ones I might have made up.

So it was another anniversary game we ruined, like for the Storm boys. Well that's a plus.
