@tigerballs anything further on Heilum Luki?

He may be looking at a switch to union. The Reds have shown some interest. I don't know where that leaves us but I was told we'd made a fairly hefty offer a while ago and he was waiting for the borders to open to come to meet, so I guess we'll see. He's doing pre season with the Cowboys but definitely doesn't have a contract with them.

One good season, we’re paying overs etc. The last guy we got from Parra that we paid overs for turned out pretty good.

It’s not one good season. It’s one good season after showing a couple years of potential. People forget Taupau came here and had one good season, got a contract with Manly the next, and went on to be one of the better props in the game.

People do forget. Taupau played with us for two years.

It’s not one good season. It’s one good season after showing a couple years of potential. People forget Taupau came here and had one good season, got a contract with Manly the next, and went on to be one of the better props in the game.

People do forget. Taupau played with us for two years.

There is images of him on the Cowboys NRL website training with the Cowboys and they have him listed as contracted for 2022.

agreed. you get the feeling that it will be either Luch or Papali'i. if we sign Papali'i and retain Luch, then we already have Blore, Tuilagi, O'Kane and Tumeth for 2022, with Saukuru doing another year of development. doubt Garner's here for next year either.

Was about to post something very similar. The clubs intentions are pretty clear with the three 2nd rowers getting development contracts. They will mostly look at building that position from within the clubs junior ranks. The exception would be a player like Papali'i with a bit more experience and more proven in 1st grade. He would be a huge asset to the backrow if we get him! Luki is on the same path as Blore and Tuilagi at the moment. I feel confident that in the coming years, this will be an area of strength for us (providing we retain this talent coming through). Looking forward to seeing their continued development!

I think Luch would be coming off the bench in the top 8 nrl sides. His defence is trash.
