Also can anyone confirm that Tex Hoy is off contract for next season? I thought he resigned with Knights but saying he’s off contract

I read reports he’s getting signed to a development contract with Newcastle but nothing official yet.

He can’t be a development contract he’s okay like 20 first grade games.

We got Jimmy the Jet on one lol

Any marquee centres lying around for 2022?

not apart from Joseph Manu, Herbie Farnworth would be an astute purchase and by the sounds of things we've identified him as such. Tolutau Koula and Jack Howarth are two of the younger brigade that are both going to be exceptional first graders in a few years that I'd be looking at also. apart from that it's pretty scarce. I still live in hope Ogden is upgraded to a development deal or top 30 spot, I really do think he's that good.

Howarth looks like Cameron Murray at that age

he is one of the best players I have ever seen at his age. the Storm have got a good one on their hands. I doubt they lose him but we could certainly throw something his way.

Nah mate just checked, you can be on a development contract no matter how many games you’ve played.

Yeah I remember reading one of the clubs had a 30 something year old backup halfback as their development player.

Yeah, Matt Frawley was on one at Canberra last year before he later got upgraded to their Top 30 and he’d played 31 First Grade games before that.

A lot of people are saying we need a Centre and back rower and I do agree with it but there’s not a lot on the market for 2022 and as Sheens said we’re building for 2023 so I was checking to see who’s off contract for 22 like I said not a lot and Madge wanted another Prop for next season not a lot on the market either but I did find people who are off contract and for Centre there’s really only 2 options JTJ or Nene McDonald for backrower same with 2 Darius Farmer and Kai O’Donnell but Prop there’s a few options Ofahiki Ogden, Darren Schonig, Tom Ale and Jackson Frei

Not a lot out there. I agree with you that if Sheens wants an experienced centre the only options are JTJ & Nene MacDonald (either I'd be happy with on a 1 year contract). For a Prop, I'd rather give Austin Dias or Christian M the chance of a 1 year deal. For the last roster spot, we're probably best to leave it open until 30 June to see who may become available. Alternatively if we need a hooker/utility as cover for Liddle/Simpkin, Hayden Lomax could be an option as he can also provide lock/backrow cover.

The club is an absolute joke every player we are linked to does not sign we needed Hodgson for creativity & leadership they should have paid whatever difference in money there was we will not be going up the ladder with Liddle at hooker.

We've made some mistakes before.
Looks like we're sticking to our guns and trying to be smart with our funds.

Raiders want him gone ?
It'll cost em.
We ain't the suckers.

We've got:
Liddle ( Decent, needs to improve )
Simpkin ( Promising but raw )
Rua & Anjoul ( Work in progress )
Peachy ( Utility, an option )
Brooks ( Dark horse, could be tried here )

I know people have said no to Brooks at hooker but I agree it’s worth the experiment. He’ll defend ok in the middle, brings a kicking game to the position and can dart out quickly. In saying that, I reckon it’s more likely that Hastings would be shifted there before Brooks if it came down to it.

Daine Laurie can play centre. Thinking left field, if Logen Dillon is as good a fullback as folks say, is that an option for us if we get desperate at the centre position?

I’ve often wondered how Laurie, Hastings and Brooks would work in the 6 7 9? Not necessarily in that order. We would need to get a FB with pace and a big motor.

Brooks would be a great DH but apart from Hatings who would fill the missing half spot?

Joey Leilua is back dumping on the club again since he's ruined his boxing match by getting covid. "I wish i could take it back, to be honest. Every week we'd change to different tactics. We just didnt have a system."
In a shocking turn of events, coach uses different tactics when versing different teams.

Do you watch Football?

Every centre backrower combination in the game would be asking for a pay rise based soley on the amount of times they run over him to score...

If the club took up an option denying me making 600-700 for another season, I’d be filthy too. Obviously he’s bitter, but I don’t think he’s off the mark with much of what he’s said. The proof is in the performances.

Ffs he's an absolute dumb arse, so the coach changed tactics for different teams? Isn't this the coaches job to change tactics and game plans week to week? This bloke makes so many stupid comments and I'm glad his gone.
