Blake Ferguson Anyone?

Apparently he's on the lookout for a new club after he his shenanigans in Japan

That would be typical of Wests Tigers to sign him up after he's served his 5 years in the slammer in Japan.

Hastings definitely has a lot of captain and leadership qualities in his arsenal.

For that alone , if I was looking in who should captain (I'd pick AD.. but with him out....) Hastings for mine ticks all the boxes and is so far ahead of anyone else in the team, 0 games in the jersey or not.

We've been using Tamou (15 minute turkey) and Brooks (doesn't talk and definitely doesn't lead from the front... like we've seen Hastings do in SL)

If you disagree, who else is there?

Watching your halfback putting much bigger players on their backsides inspire teammates and is leading from the front.

Let's see how Hastings performs when much bigger and much faster forwards either run at him or around him..

True Hastings will have quality players coming at him week in week out unlike English Super League competition he needs to be able to play at NRL level first let alone captain.
I would give it to Brooks and Twal

But Tamou is captain, can’t see him losing it?

He'll probably be captain again, problem is he spends 60 minutes of the game on the bench

There’s no probably about it.

There's a chance he will be co-captain with someone else but that's about it.

Even that is a stretch

Braith Anasta captained us for 5 games.

Cmon now.

Wow. Forgot about that. Good point.

The only thing I seem to remember about Anasta here is that he couldn't deal with paying for Gatorade.

Zane Musgrove caught driving with a suspended license apparently

Surely it’s time to cut this bloke loose. He’s either in trouble, injured or under done.

FFS, the original comment said "apparently". But yet, the pile-on begins, from those who I'm sure have never been stupid or made a mistake in their lives. Model citizens all of them, no doubt. As if.

Okay mate. I’ve made mistakes and guess what they cost me my job. He’s made a heap and maybe it’ll cost him his job.

I don't see the connection with him, apparently, breaking a traffic/driving rule and that being justification for him being sacked as a professional NRL player. That's my point.

Repeat offender.

Mate this is his third or fourth incident. And let’s me honest driving without a license is a deliberate and know offence. He lost his licence for driving under the influence (if I remember correct) so it shows he doesn’t care for the consequences of his actions so maybe losing his job will help him in life

You’re not just saying this cos he’s provided little value, and you see this as an opportunity to cut him loose are you? ?

And, you're a model citizen and clean-skin, no doubt??

Me? Of course.....

I'm not soaking up the cap with little to no benefit to the club though.

It's nothing personal.
I'm sure you can understand where the fans are coming from, with it being the way out of an average contract.

So you regret the choices you made that cost you your job? Was the offence directly related to your job or incidental (but not acceptable) such as the Musgrove allegation?

Incidental incident that had nothing to do with my job. Yes I regret it but I moved on and learnt from it.

So, why can't Musgrove at WT?

As I said before he clearly hasn’t learnt from his past mistakes. Suspended for driving for DUI then drives while he is suspended. The club has stood by him since before his contract was even registered with the NRL and I think that is enough.

We obviously have differing opinions on this which is fine but I will not be responding anymore. Feel free to reply with any additional comments you have.

Get rid of Musgrove. He’s terrible. I only wish it could have been Noffa. Ideally they would have committed a non life threatening act simultaneously so they could both get canned. Mmmmm

Gives us an out, bloke has been a disappointment on and off the field. Madge and the club have stuck by him and he continuously let's our brand down.

Can't get rid him of due to driving without a licence
