Why do so many players claim to not bother speaking to their manager during contract period? I'd be talking to my manager very regularly if he's taking his 5-10%.

Its Mr 6 % job to deal with media enquiries...not the players,who are significantly less equipped to do so
Id do the same standard response if I was the player

Yeah not so sure on that. Seems unmotivated and lazy on the field IMO. Has the physical attributes to be an absolute weapon but doesn't seem to have the killer instinct or hunger to rip and tear.
That is the big question though: for how long do you persevere with someone in the hope that they will come good? IMO WT have been guilty of doing this for far too long to the detriment of our club: waiting, hoping, 1 year, 4 years, 7 years. You've got to cut your losses at some stage, we need to be more ruthless in this area to achieve success.

And the ones who say they are leaving it to their managers. As if. Usually that’s code for “I’m signing with another club and don’t want to have to explain myself to the supporters“.

I’d be surprised if Doueihi even got back to his best this year anyway…never know tho

Deep down him & the club are probably hoping to get through this year unscathed once he’s recovered and go full throttle in 2023
