I find this place very funny. We lack fullback depth & backline speed.
Staines would eat most of our backs up, is young and meets our roster brief of age/type players.
He also isn't on a huge deal, it's doubtful we could do much better with how bare the market is

I reckon we should get Staines. He runs it back hard and he is fast. He probably doesn't make our top team right now but that will change. He might also be a better option than Laurie at fullback.

If we could snag Burton that would be huge. He is better than Brooks and Doueihi.

Burton was rumoured to both be looking for an upgrade on his contract, and may have the out clause related to Barrett. Him staying at the Dogs is far from a sure thing given their cap hell. But if they release him early they need 2 halves for next year
