Staines wouldn’t make our starting 17, Nofa and Ken both infinitely better than him, gets lifted and taken back making tough carries, we need as much help for our forward pack as possible. If it wasn’t for Ken & Nof runs on tackle 1 and 2 off our line we’d struggle to make the 40m line

Staines doesn't grimace everytime on every hit up compared to Maumalo does tho.

I find this place very funny. We lack fullback depth & backline speed.
Staines would eat most of our backs up, is young and meets our roster brief of age/type players.
He also isn't on a huge deal, it's doubtful we could do much better with how bare the market is

I reckon we should get Staines. He runs it back hard and he is fast. He probably doesn't make our top team right now but that will change. He might also be a better option than Laurie at fullback.

If we could snag Burton that would be huge. He is better than Brooks and Doueihi.

Burton was rumoured to both be looking for an upgrade on his contract, and may have the out clause related to Barrett. Him staying at the Dogs is far from a sure thing given their cap hell. But if they release him early they need 2 halves for next year
