Still no news out of the Sharks about Pele, Dykes or Nikora re-signing. Does anyone have an update? Unfortunately Jess Colquhoun re-signed with the Sharks. He is an Illawarra junior and is in their top squad next year. I think he will be the next big hit at the Sharks, an 80 min prop.

May fit well into another team, just didn’t work with us. Need to move on after 9 years I’d say.

Yeah, but in this instance, you are suggesting we trade him for Burton. After trashing him. You aren’t a very good salesman.

Club still entertaining looking at Siro for a couple years, nothing else happening on the recruitment front. Ciraldo probably ends up getting Burton, Doueihi will play 13. Getting his body right for a Sheenius style pack.

Pele still weighing up our offer (Cronulla), and would IMO be the perfect project player to contrast Twal/Seyfarth.

We desperately need some impact 2nd rowers, hoping that Blore will turn out to be that for the club

This is where we need to get to Paws. Where these young up and comers are just happy to hang around at their junior club waiting for an opportunity.
That’s real depth of squad and we haven’t had that I’d say ever. Not even whilst Sheens was here.
Even so, we’d have these young guys on the peripheral leave to join stronger squads where they had to start further down the pack.

Not sure Blore is your impact mould of player, more your consistent worker 80min prop 100 plus meters and minimal missed tackles.

Which we have about 2 too many of. I’d like to see him develop some ‘wow’ factor and transition in attack. He has looked good when given opportunities even in a short time here, needs match fitness.

I don’t think we have many of them as backrowers. Prehaps Seyfarth but he is more suited to the middle. Supposedly he (Blore) was a very good hole runner back in his Penrith days, so it would be interesting to see how he fits in to the team next year. Bench first coming on into the backrow, at this stage replacing Seyfarth mid game.

If Tamou was replaced with Tapine or Thompson and we added say, Angus Crichton as a starter, then that’s the right mixture.

ATM Twal, Farts, Tamou and Stefano are all too similar

They’ll likely have their futures all sorted before we sign our coach.

This is what we need coaches that develop young players not having them regress.
