Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I swear Sheens has been good for one out of left field signing every year he's been with us and they rarely ever work out. Like when we signed that fastest dude in rugby some years back and he maybe played 1 or 2 first grade games for us. Or some random unit from an Island nation who gets hyped and then does nothing in reserves.

I mean I don't hate taking these chances, but why not just sign good NRL players or youngsters. Koroisau and Papali'i are the types we need to be signing if we want to move the club forward and attract others. There's a less than 1% chance this Reilly bloke ends up being an above-average first grader. If we're Melbourne/Penrith this makes sense to round out a roster, for us just feels pointless.

Sheens was reported to have been interested in Miller ex rugby, 27 years old and now at the Sharks doing really well at fullback and 5/8. He played rugby 7s for Australia, so has Reilly. Sheens obviously has an eye for talent. Tuiaki ring a bell?

WHAT a sad life you have. You would know nothing about this rugby player yet you claim he will be a dud. Actually we have signed Koroisau and Papali'i. We signed an unknown school boy footballer a few years ago. No doubt you would have moaned about this signing as well. If you don't know who this person was, his name was Marshall. Get a grip and see how things work out instead of crapping on the club every chance you get.

Wish I could hang my hat hat on a lucky decision I made 20 years ago...
Ryan O'Hara, Danny Galea, Sam Harris, Jamahl Lolesi ring a bell?
For every feather in Sheens cap from back in the day, There's plenty of negatives.

ps: They Played Tuiaki at 2nd row for about 2 Years before they worked out he was a winger.

I don't know anything about him either, But there aren't many rugby OB's that make good in League.
Centre is the hardest position to defend in League - It's wear all the hard decisions are made...
In union - they get a fairly easy run in comparison.

Worst case scenario, He has a bit of toe and size...
Might make a good winger....

Marshall, Ayshford, Moltzen, Fifita, Heighinton, Lui, Daley, Stuart (ex rugby), Clyde Wiki, the Walters bros. The list continues .................................
