I think Staines will play fullback, with Laurie at five-eighth, and Doueihi at centre.

Gould has claimed for many years now that Laurie is a long-term five-eighth, not a fullback.

He was the one that initially signed him to Penrith so he’d know his game very well.

Likewise, Gould has said similar about Staines. In that when he was debuting on the wing but he is at home at fullback and it’s a matter of time that he is a first grade fullback.
Makes me wonder though both Laurie and Staines wouldn’t cost you the bank. Despite Gus waxing lyrical about the two players why hasn’t their been interest from the Dogs?
Laurie could form a lethal partnership with Burton in the halves and Staines would be more solid then Avarilo as a fullback.
It’s like he endorses these players for certain teams, but when it comes to his own roster there’s other players he’d look at first.

Yep, the Brooks media (via Manage?) alert is a clear case of tampering with the rules. Brooks ca have a discussion with Knights as much as he likes. But he cannot say that he will be AT the Knights in 2024 cos that implies that he has in fact negotiated a deal for that year or years.

Unless the club has given him permission to test the waters elsewhere - which may well could happen, and no one here would know..
