He was sacked at Souths for good reason. They had a stacked squad that were unable to gel. Russell Crowe said it was one of the hardest decisions he has had to make. He had so much goodwill yet still they made the decision to punt him.

I think you’re right here.

I’ve heard Nu Brown is a done deal with them and has been for ages. Look at the amount of players they’ve shed in the last few weeks, Jackson, Doorey, now Schoupp.

Frees up cap space for sure, but they also just badly needed roster spots.

Quite possible. They were at 29 players
signed yesterday, Shoupp frees up another
spot. He's a shrewed operator Gus.
