So I tend to agree here, it's semantics in one way, but important in another, in that, the word 'elite' I think is a better description of these types of players we're talking about.

e.g.
A superstar would be a Turbo
An elite would be a Tupou, Radley, Papali'i
and a decent, maybe a regular starter - Max King, Sivo, Riki

Just random examples. On this logic, I agree again, that 3/4 of these would go a long way to challenging for the 8. I think SeanT's first comment was a gross exaggeration and that we're closer to the 8, at least squad-wise than people may think.

So we get a wooden spoon and got two rep players into the squad with little else on top of a below average reserve grade squad. How are we close?

Our spine apart from API is below par, none of our front rowers seems to go hard not to mention the problems we have had at centre for ten or so years.

We are bottom 4 next year without a doubt.

I simply said that you're exaggerating. And, I think, you've done it here again.

Be careful, because if you miss the subtlety of peoples words, you miss their meaning..

I said 'closer than some people think'. I didn't say close. Close implies we're on the cusp, I don't necessarily agree with that. What I said implies that some think we're 'bottom four without a doubt', but I feel we're closer than that.

Thats an important difference. I don't believe that squad is top notch atm, but my contention is that you're exaggerating how bad it is and as always, things are never as good as they seem and never as bad as they seem.

Clearly, I see a lot of upside in where the squad is headed, whereas you don't.

Thats sweet, you're entitled to your opinion, I just believe it's overstated.

Just a sidebar, regarding our big 3 in the halves, Note- H, B, AND A.
The agents would be worried, as i can't see the Tigers extending beyond next year'.
All quite young 26. 27,and 24 ',, Will the agents try to get them released now, or try for a contract now beginning in 2024. This could change the whole scheme of things!

It’s another to come on here running your mouth about official announcements being made and then changing your BS story multiple times then admitting you don’t know anything or anyone really connected in terms of club officials or player managers.

Decline... both playing currently playing for England. Both bend the line, mobile, agressive and have quick play the ball. Both under 30yrs and as for price, anyone coming to us will ask for a little more.

Klemmer Id like as well but for different reasons. If we are going to play Sheens-ball and the with limited options available for 2023, Im ok with short time deals in the clubs favour.
