think as long as the contract length isn’t ridiculous it’s a good signing tbh. Klem was still averaging over 150mts a game I’m pretty sure. Could’ve been more but on the other hand there where multiple games tamou wouldn’t even crack 50 mts I remember a few games it was like 27 mts and stuff like that

There are lots of possibles that have impacted on his decision to look for opportunity elsewhere. Brooks reportedly wanted out and was Newcastle first target until Sheens blocked that and publically backed him at 7 and at the same time when over in England reportedly went after Bateman - really doesn't show much faith in backing Hastings anywhere.
The fact that Sheens is happy to release him and not Brooks to get Klemmer, pretty much shows the coach sees him as surplus. How can you be dirty at Hastings for seeing the writing on the wall?
 
I know there are a fair few Brooks death riders on this forum but I actually think he will have a pretty good year in 2023. Madge had him playing conservatively. With Sheens in attack mode, watch his speed and passing game go to a new level. Just start talking a little more Luke!!

Agreed. Makes us a better side. Tbh I don’t think either brooks or Hastings are top four halfbacks so not too concerned letting him go.

Yeah he may have been better than brooks but if he isn’t the guy to be long term #7, which I really think he isn’t, who cares.

Get Moses back at 7.

It's disappointing that a player shows up and actually puts in for the jersey... then gets moved on so quickly.

Whilst lucky Luke continues his masquerading and is protected at all costs.

Not sure what kind of message it sends.

Alas, 2023 is a new season and the slate should be wiped clean and hopefully we see something positive throughout the year.
