Saw what?I said I saw it with my own eyes...
Didn't I?
that makes it fact
Thanks for that, was worried Woods was the carrot for Klemmer, thanks for the insight mate, much appreciatedDon’t see a spot being used for Woods.
Thats a hell of a shopping list. Were going to need a good 2023, which is going to be tough without Hastings, Madden and possibly Doueihi. All off contract in 2024
Matt Burton
Dylan Browne
Sam Walker
Kurt Falls
I could live with even 2 of those 4 ....I could add Mitch Moses but I can't see that happening from either side of the fence ....I am a realist
Thats my point .....we don't have any quality halves coming through that I've seen or heard of ...our biggest hope is building a solid base in the forwards and hope thats attracts at least one quality half ....and quality fullback ..and a quality centreI agree with you but the only way this will happen is if we develop those players and I don't think we have them coming through. The good thing is that atm if we lose players it's not a big issue.
Brooks will practice his low passes.Klemmer is too tall
Their death riding is matched only by your unrealistic evaluation of his ability, the real answer is somewhere in the middletry not to death ride ok
Yep, most of these self-proclaimed 'insiders' should bugger off to the 'rumours and fantasy' thread.No. You are so off base its laughable.
What ruins a forum like this is people claiming to have some inside info that is merely opinion.
I never asked for sources.
I never tried to out the poster to draw possible punishment.
He stated its FACT not RUMOUR.
Put up or shut up is always the best policy.
well Tim sheens disagrees with you and so does Marshall but carry on..Their death riding is matched only by your unrealistic evaluation of his ability, the real answer is somewhere in the middle
Moses is a better player than Brooks, always has been, people just hate him for his personality, but his footy smarts are streets ahead of Brookslook how well Moses has played behind a good pack at Parramatta
For christ sake, if a half back is a good halfback, he shows he is a good halfback, even in a piss poor team.I've never claimed he is a champion. I think that we do not know how good he could be because he has never had a decent pack. But I think he has enough talent to perform well in a good team.
We don't know if Thurston, Cronk, Cleary would perform behind poor forward packs. They've rarely had to. I think they would still perform better than Brooks has, but not by much
Will the new look pack be enough? Well, first they need to perform to their potential. Is Bateman really coming and if so is he still an elite backrower or is his body breaking down and he a shadow of his former self? Will Papallii have the motivation to perform in a side he reportedly didn't want to be in? Can Utoikamanu perform to the expectation we had of him post 2021 or will he continue the struggles he had in 2022. Most importantly will our starting pack stay on the field or will injuries/suspensions mean we are relying heavily on a bunch of kids?
If the forwards do in fact perform to their abilities then yes they are good enough that Brooks should thrive. If the forwards perform to their abilities and Brooks does not perform I will be happy to attribute blame to him. But, I won't blame the results on a halfback that is playing behind a poor pack as Brooks has his whole career.
And back to my original question what did you rate about the pack in that 4 year period? I argue they weren't that good because they weren't. I would love to see an argument that they were.
I think I read yesterday (can try to find confirmation later if you like) 2015 we ranked 15th for running metres. Then the pack imo got worse in 2016 and 2017.
Well I don't think you'd get all 4 ...but you get 2 and then a promising junior from within ...or external ...even keep Douehi as a centre and a back up half if we are desperate ....Thats a hell of a shopping list. Were going to need a good 2023, which is going to be tough without Hastings, Madden and possibly Doueihi.
well we may well get both who knows.Moses is a better player than Brooks, always has been, people just hate him for his personality, but his footy smarts are streets ahead of Brooks
AD is dreaming for his rumoured asking price. I don't think any club will go for that, he's hardly proven himself. Easy to look decent around a bunch of numpties.Won’t be here at his current asking price, club won’t even entertain it.
Moses plus Crichton?Does anyone think we would be a shot at getting Stephen Crichton for fullback in 2024 ?
Go support parramatta then if you like Moses so muchMoses is a better player than Brooks, always has been, people just hate him for his personality, but his footy smarts are streets ahead of Brooks
I wish lolMoses plus Crichton?
Keep Doueihi as a centre on his reported $900k salary request, added with Brooksies reported $1mill+? All those you have named will likely ask for similar to come here. Not much left overs for the other guys.Well I don't think you'd get all 4 ...but you get 2 and then a promising junior from within ...or external ...even keep Douehi as a centre and a back up half if we are desperate ....
More halves come available in 2025 ....you get even 1 again ......Fogarty ...Wighton ......Hynes ......Dearden ....Townsend.......Luai.......Keary ......and then you are talking .....that's how we need to be thinking
