One thign it shows is the need for pace in the backline. We currently dont' have anyone in our entire backline as quick as Moltzen was. Who was quick, but still not JAC quick. Not sure what you are talking about

Laurie and Naden are both deceptively quick. Certainly in the realm of Moltzen, who was not a noted elite speedster, as you said. One thign it shows is the need for pace in the backline. Brooks will be here 2024, issue at present is length of deal. interesting thing is 1 year extension for AD that might point to is he playing centre or fullback in 2024Just gut feel - Sheens, Benji and the club seem to be backing him.
Seems a stop gap signing. It works if Moses does or doesn't come.Brooks will be here 2024, issue at present is length of deal. interesting thing is 1 year extension for AD that might point to is he playing centre or fullback in 2024
At 24 i think AD would be pissed at a 1yr extension. Most contracts are 3 yrs. I think that if some club offers him a 3 yr contract on his current money he will go. Clubs will be looking to see how Laurie, Brooks,AD, and Stains perform, before making offers, If they do perform the Tigers may not be able to keep them. The merry go round will be on again, many changes ahead.
I think it suits where he is at. He gets some security and will get a chance to prove himself as a 6 this year, raising his value for us or another club.At 24 i think AD would be pissed at a 1yr extension. Most contracts are 3 yrs. There is no issue because there is no offer yet and no guarantee he’ll even be here …even though you obviously hope the 2018 Dally M Halfback of the year stays forever.Brooks will be here 2024, issue at present is length of deal. interesting thing is 1 year extension for AD that might point to is he playing centre or fullback in 2024
It's a gamble. If i'm 24 and getting $650,000 a year, and the offer is the same for a 1 yr extension, i would not sign. I would shop around hoping to get $700,000 contract for 3yrs. That is 2.5 mill.Think he is smart potentially. Maybe he wanted 1yr to allow him more time to negotiate longer and focus on a full year of footy to bump his price up come November.
If he gets to 2021 back end of the year form under a Sheens attacking model his price will jump up for sure & probably be able to get a release if Moses/Brooks happens.
you never know mate if you keep willing it to happen who knows maybe Brooks might leave... Didn't work last time but second time lucky heyThere is no issue because there is no offer yet and no guarantee he’ll even be here …even though you obviously hope the 2018 Dally M Halfback of the year stays forever.
The fact that Sheens mentioned keeping Brooks on an extended restructured lower deal months ago and nothing has happened leans me to think that the issue with Brooks is he's once again trying to chase the dollars and nothing else. If he had any loyalty to the Tigers he'd realise how overpaid he's been on his current 4 year deal and have agreed to the restructured extension months agoyou never know mate if you keep willing it to happen who knows maybe Brooks might leave... It may be purely coincidental, but Brooks and Moses do have a very good manager looking after their interests. No announcements have been made (yet). The fact that Sheens mentioned keeping Brooks on an extended restructured lower deal months ago and nothing has happened leans me to think that the issue with Brooks is he's once again trying to chase the dollars and nothing else. wait Paws if Moses arrives at Concord (think he will) Brooks will probably be on a restructured 4 year deal.It may be purely coincidental, but Brooks and Moses do have a very good manager looking after their interests. No announcements have been made (yet).

AD on a one year deal makes no sense if he was the answer at 6 to partner Moses.Says who JT, this isn't a package deal
haha. If Moses signs he's signed with
us regardless if Brooks is extended
or not brother. If Doueihi fires we have
our 6 & 7 locked in I would say.
It's all contingent on Moses signing,
both Brooks & Doueihi have their
futures to play for as it stands ...
better check your hearingI'm hearing Brooks will be offered a further 10 year contract at $1 million per year based on winning the 2018 Dally M Halfback of the year award.
How good.
well if we are being held ransom by a crook like Isaac then the club hasn’t really learnt from its mistakes has itAD on a one year delay makes no sense if he was the answer at 6 to partner Moses.
The dealay is Isaac trying to push Brooks deal, he gets commission on both and at present he has the leverage on the club he can easily be putting pressure on a Brooks deal. All that leverage goes away if Moses signs with parramatta.
