I agree. We need Robbie to have the experience first, which can be done over time if we deem he has the right leadership qualities. But there is something about having a leader with passion for the club. Who will go that extra mile for success.They are two very independent guys. Don't assume they're best of buddies.
Robbie loves the club, and while that can come across as 'Jobs for the boys'. I personally have no issues with it.
I know a number of ex-tiger players who just saw it as a job. Where as us fans are the passionate ones.
Robbie is a fan as well as being an ex-player
There are a large number of ex-players in management or board positions. There's no reason to flat out reject the idea.
