That would be awesome. Makes sense given he plans to test the market I readBradman
Peachey never showed any interest when he was here, one our worst purchases in many years.
He has a lot to do with it Jedalso was rumoured not to get on with bateman he signed when hastings left and also meant we got klemner too.
newcastle playing well Hastings doesn't have much to do with it
Some of us are all too familiar with hearing how good potential players will be for us, then they get here and blend in with everyone else. He’s not moving us up the ladderPeople acting like Sezar is washed up.
He's been a starting 7 in the SL for 4 straight seasons, one of those (last year) in a GF side. Captain of his club for 2 of those as well. He's the starting 7 for Canberra's GF performance in 2019.
2 GF's in 5 years.
And we wring our hands over him replacing Luke Brooks. Or prefer Clune (who I don't mind). Or Cogger (again, don't mind).
But none of them have the resume Sezar brings.
For his SL career he has a 47.46% win ratio. Go on- say that it's rubbish. For his NRL career- 50.97%
Then look at the options we are looking at instead of him.
He's no Andrew Johns. But he knows how to win & put together sustained success over the course of a season.
Haha so they tell him to look elsewhere but won’t carry any of his contract. That’s a bold strategy.“The merger club are reportedly the frontrunner to acquire his services, while the Knights have also reportedly put their name in the hat to sign the talented halfback.
However, Dragons powerbrokers have reportedly made it clear they will not contribute to Sullivan’s $500,000-per-season salary.”
Is he worth 500k for the next two seasons?
Its not a horrible amount but with the two young halves on roughly the same amount; they are still large contracts if you are playing one in reserve grade.

That's because it is nothing but madness.Don't understand the tactic of doing four short drop outs in a row to a attacking team like souths handing the ball ten metres out when you're trailing 20 to 18 seems like madness to me
He’s not worth $500,000 not in the form he’s in and the fact he’s most likely going to be a back up. He’s not exactly what we are looking for so if they don’t chip tell ‘em ti stuff it where the sun don’t shine!!They will have to tip in something they want rid, they have plans for his cap space both us and the Knights know this. If we could get him for $100k less a season that would be decent.
He might still be injured in the brain, jeez he has some brain snaps.Lussick played 6 days in ESL then ran out for Parra last night.
Clear Bateman was injured.
They have to chip in. No one is paying him 500k a year. He's proven nothing and had injury issues. Dragons just trying to play games and pay as little as possible. If Sullivan says he only wants to come to us, not Newcastle, then we can play hardball. They don't want him, he doesn't want to be there, they will chip in at least 150k.“The merger club are reportedly the frontrunner to acquire his services, while the Knights have also reportedly put their name in the hat to sign the talented halfback.

Bateman was apparently VISA issues, Lussick as an Australian would have no such hold up.
3, one of them against us. One against Raiders who dropped the ball all game and had Wighton binned and a 3rd against Warriors who were missing 3 forwards.Won a stack of games with him out too

I don't understand why people get so caught up on the salary. $500,000 in 2024 is not what it used to be with the new cap. Also have to factor in position. He’s not worth $500,000 not in the form he’s in and the fact he’s most likely going to be a back up. I get all that, but if wakeham is on 120 then Sullivan would be lucky to be on 250-300. Different if it is Pezet or a Trindall. We already have an potential running half in Latu, I’d be ok spending that sort of cash on a potential organising half. He’s most likely a back up in case Latu doesn’t work out, or a stop cap measure until Latu comes on.I don't understand why people get so caught up on the salary. $500,000 in 2024 is not what it used to be with the new cap. If there is one lesson learned from this season, it is essential to have halves to be competitive. I would rather have a starting half, even a first choice back up half on the same money as a starting centre or winger. I mean, Nofoaluma is earning more. 500k under the new cap is the equivalent to 300-350k on the current/old cap.
Most starting halves in the NRL are on 800k+, even Schuster. Spending on the halves is the highest priority as it is the biggest 'make or break' position. We also don't have the luxury of a Penrith or the like as decent halves won't come here on average money.
