He's 27 mate not 37 I wouldn't be writing him off just yet.

That's actually younger than I thought he was, but I still think he's a smaller fellow that plays above his weight, which always has an expiry date on it.
It's unlikely that his injury frequency improves from this point and I think the risk out weighs the reward.

He’s not making 80 tackles a game. He’s not making half.

Made 42 tackles in 77mins vs us at Campbelltown covering for Jake Friend when he went off after 3mins in the match.
I’m pretty sure he played lock a bit for Newcastle as well.

Connor Watson is a very good utility and a perfect number 14 when fit and firing.
I think he’d be a good fit for us, but would his inclusion mean less opportunity at NRL level for Talyn Da Silva ?
Another good utility who’s available and generally comes on to provide good leg speed and ball playing ability through the middle is Kurt Mann. He plays the role we are hoping Justin Matamua can do for us, but he hasn’t really come along as well as expected this season.
Another call would be we cannot possibly have both Josh Feledy and Tristan Reilly in our top 13. Both are short nuggety centres and are not both going to play NRL in the same team, so it should be a choice one or the other.

We don’t need both Jayden Sullivan and Connor Watson. They cover the same positions.

Come on we have gone all year with crap half’s , now we look like getting 2-4 half’s we need them all , it will put pressure on who ever gets the 1st nod

Sezer / Sullivan will make that 4.

We have Hawkins as a train and trial which means we have 5 after round 10.

Doueihi when he comes back will be a utility so we have 6 who can play halves.

We hear all these names keep coming up but no official news from club , so 1 no leaks or 2 no one has put pen to paper yet , Benji said in his interview no talk until a players has signed a deal , my concern is , bar the brothers we have added nothing , Bulldogs have added about 10 , we need to start to secure players including for the remaining of this season .

Was his girlfriend yeah. From what I gathered, he was destroyed over his injury and thought his career was over, and felt he was responsible for the welfare of his family being the major breadwinner as a professional athlete. Can’t imagine being that mentally gone to make such an extreme decision. A permanent solution to a temporary problem.
