Knights sign Cogger for 3 years as a back up which is surprising and now looking at Sullivan.

Hope Staines stays long term.
He's a guy that I didn't think very highly of before he played here, but I've really been impressed with him in the limited games that he's been available.
Usually happens the other way around with our recruits.

Same for me.

I was initially against the signing, but through his efforts I have never once been able to question his determination and application, some others - not so much.

I'd love for him to stay, he is an awkward, oddly shaped player but his commitment has been outstanding. One of the only true speedsters in our team as well.

I wouldn't be surprised with the Fulton links if we recruit one of Brad Parker, Kaeo Weekes or Raymond Vaega, all off contract.

Question for anyone who has followed Weekes' development, can he play wing?

Predominantly a 5/8 & fullback but has electric speed, I wonder if he has a future out wide.

Nah talk to the Accountant. Robbo just coaches what he gets! The less he knows about the transactions the better for him. He still thinks his team is well under the cap. He is not familiar with the Sombreros

If their first wasn't an invasion into Europe there never would have been a crusade. It's was a retaliatory defensive war. The crusades were launched after the caliphate had conquered Spain then made their way through France before being turned back. Then the European armies made their way into the middle east. Nothing racist about it. I doubt if China invaded you would just hand your home over to them.

If I'm being serious I think our priorities are:-

1. Halves - ideally good ones but we can get average ones because atm we have Fainu as our top half for next season and he hasn't played NRL.
2. Outside backs - we need some class here though and players like Momo aren't going to cut it.
1. Forwards - this is our lowest priority but an impact forward or a class lock forward would be really good for us.

I think you're likely correct. The only other explanation i could offer is there was still a lot of Tonga/Samoa hostilities in NZ back then (don't know about now). Possibly a thought of needing to minimise the amount of Polynesians in order to minimise conflict between teammates.
