19 year olds aren’t usually great defenders. Remember the old U20’s NYC? Most of the games were basketball scores.I shat on him too but our captain api bigged
him up its good enough 4 me lmao

If he stays injury free he will prove to be anywhere from a good to excellent signing. We have no depth at fullback
And two wingers on the books
Staines provides value in both these areas
Good business
because your likely to be just as athletic as them. I’m just saying a smaller less athletic player has to tackle a backrower another half of similar build and agility or a fullback or a centre. Tougher job.Why are you trying to make it out that making 1 on 1 tackles with probably the most explosive athletic players on the field is easy lol
Idk why everyone is assuming Nadan won’t be in the strongest 17.
Well how did that work out for us this year? And ?
The Wests Tigers are poised to launch a club-defining bid for Penrith premiership-winner Jarome Luai which is expected to soar north of $4 million.
Hardest position mentally or physically?Whilst I agree in part, in my opinion it's the centre that makes the key call.
It is them who must decide if the short ball will find the crash man and they'll need to help the half, or rather to push of and drift with the FB to make sure the winger isn't left stranded.
It's them being the main decision-maker that makes it the most difficult position.
In my opinion of course.
That being said, if the second-rower is slow laterally, they can really expose the half and make his job infinitely harder. Ice was a perfect example of this last year. He was TERRIBLE at over-committing, bringing that key decision one man in to the half as you said.
Maybe he could sign with Melbourne and not even leave Sydney. Can't see Tupou going to the Storm. He'd have half a dozen players in front of him. Warbrick, Coates, Meaney, Smith, Pap, Faalogo... Possible even Tonumaipea
That’s why we are looking at Olam and have 1 of Staines, Tupou, To’a or Naden to cover. But Makasini and Large are only 16. We need players who can contribute now as well - can't just wait on teens no matter how talented they are.
People have short memories. Naden was one of our best the first 6 rounds or so before getting injured and he never really made it back into the team since. When he's fit and healthy, he's our best centre option by a large margin
I see Luai playing 7 like he did for Samoa when he led them to the WC finalI could imagine us gearing up to sign Luai, then Brian T'oo comes and gives us a lap dance!
Seriously our spine priority has to be a solid Halfback. Sullivan has a hell of an opportunity to lock that spot in, if he sucks we will need a replacement asap. Sullivan may suck at 7, or he may be a quality player who can't fit into nr7 Luke Brooks style.
Luai is an explosive 5/8.
I like Luai, I can't see how he fits into our plans.
We wouldn’t be offering it. He is already on a contract for 3 more years so we would be taking it over. If he does come it has to be for 3 years. There's no way we're offering Olam three years
Why not, it's worked well for us in the past. 🤣you're right, we should focus on exclusively signing current origin stars... 🙄
Nofa won't start ahead of Tupou, nor should heDepends on his ego - reserve grader here or marquee recruit in England.
Personally I think he will be in and out of firsts here always doing just enough to make the team with injuries.
I think the team will start with
bula
Nofa
Olam
Staines
Naden
