Yes I noticed that as well.Good to see he reassured his coach that he would honour his contract by a FKN text message....
Pathetic.

Lol....and still better than what we've got. Please, for the love of god, stop mentioning Maika Sivo.
He is the definition of washed.

The issue for everyone will be at the time it needs to be decided, does he remain as a larger half playing a pretty unique style of play with decent but not exceptional speed or does he get transitioned into the backrow / lock where all his half-like attributes could give him a real point of difference.I understand people will be very disappointed with Galvins (alleged) actions. Firstly I’d like to say that no one really knows who agitated for the release, we know Isaac Moses is his agent and for those that don’t know he is the same manager who dealt with the Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and Mitchell Moses saga in 2017. It was also reported his family weren’t too happy with the needling of his hand and potential pathway to first grade and finally the plausible reality that Galvin simply wants out.
I get that it’s disappointing as we all wanted him to stay and now there will forever be an asterisks next to his name. But the kid is 18 and has only ever won and probably has some people in his ear telling him this and that. I guarantee if we start winning games consistently, he will be more than happy staying. We have to remember a Rugby League career is very short and many want to make the most out of it as possible and as fans we need to understand and respect that.
The Ben Hunt saga may also give hope as he wanted nothing to do with the Dragons but as the saying goes “winning solves everything.” He saw that there is a potential future and wants to be there for it. Hopefully Galvin will see the same and choose to stay here for the next while.
After causing the club a lot of unwanted publicity the least he could do is pick up the phone. Also love the way he is now going to see out his contract, what was his other choices…noneGood to see he reassured his coach that he would honour his contract by a FKN text message....

Im assuming you are another one that has no idea that Alaimalo is 30 next year. He isnt some 22 year old dev kid.I agree mate.
Alaimalo has all the tools to be a very solid performer in first grade. Another preseason would do wonders heading into 2025.
Willett and Luke L will be knocking the door down in the next 12-18months to take the other spot, which will likely be Lobb or Staines for the moment.
Big if....
And I still wouldn't be hopeful.
He's really put himself on the map, in a bad way.
How much do they need to turn around?
I think we have had this discussion many times on the forum these last 2 months and it always leaves the person suggesting Sivo with egg on their face.Lol....and still better than what we've got.
That’s normal for the young ones.Good to see he reassured his coach that he would honour his contract by a FKN text message....

Richo saves the day with Galvin, at least for the moment.
It would have been far worse if after the meeting the youngster had doubled down on his release requests.
It’s a face saver anyway.
No egg on my face my friend. All opinions. I said in my post that Sivo has had an ordinary year. If you want to compare him to Staines over the last 13 games no problem. If Sivo can find some of his previous form, he can add significant value. A change of scenery might just be what he needs. Its worked for plenty of other players in the past.I think we have had this discussion many times on the forum these last 2 months and it always leaves the person suggesting Sivo with egg on their face.
If you look at Staines stats he is much better than Sivo and Ravalawa this year. You may think they are powerhouses based on prior years but they have the tiniest heart of anyone. Go look at their post contact metres compared the Staines, I think he beats them both.. and we regularly complain about Staines lack of physicality and heart yet want to replace him with worse.
This isn't over the last 13 games, Sivo has been ordinary for a few years now brother. He would be worse than Nofa for us.No egg on my face my friend. All opinions. Prescient, well raised. There was a bit of a pile on from the media developing … so it saves Galvin from that continuing … Moses had the wrong play this time ..
Really, so every player says I am going too , u would let them go , how the hell are we ever going to get of the bottom if u don’t keep ur best kidsFor Gods sake, just let him go. You’d think he’s Glenn Lazarus.
I wouldn’t have let Galvin go, so that blows that argument out of the water.Really, so every player says I am going too , u would let them go , how the hell are we ever going to get of the bottom if u don’t keep ur best kids
