I wouldn’t mind Dylan Walker as a 13 or 12. Always amongst the Warriors better players. Not sure of his dollars though.

I haven't seen enough of him to know what his deficiencies are to truly comment in the positive or negative on Ray, but he his strong and aggressive, that I know.

I haven't seen enough of him to know what his deficiencies are to truly comment in the positive or negative on Ray, but he his strong and aggressive, that I know.

On the negative, I wouldn’t call him ‘slow’ but certainly isn’t fast, not a great finisher, needs to improve his defensive reads. He’s super aggressive which can go both ways but sometimes goes too far. On the positives really strong, can put on a big hit & id also say his aggression (if he can control it) is a good thing. He’s one of those guys full of energy that can inspire the team with a massive hit jamming in. It’s a good call to have a look at him I think, at the very least a good back up

I'm not convinced that the long-term rebuild of the Bulldogs has been achieved.

They're having a great year, but I'm not sure it can be repeated next year, much less go to the next level required to be competing for a premiership.

They are objectively doing far, far better than us right now. However...

I would love nothing more than to meet them in a Top 8 dogfight over the next 2 years and see Stefano be on the losing end.

A life lesson perhaps.

Yeah there was a tone of sarcasm in that, not directed at you.
I think “take a chance” was Fruit Pascals and Lee Bagipants’s Club and business strategy for years.
I’m sure they made decisions with the toss of a coin and built a roster with the tried and tested “Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe” strategy.

To wrap a few suggestions together-

Corey Horsburgh- YES! Give him Jack Hetherington as a running mate & lets see the Tigers get outmuscled.

Dylan Walker/Jazz Tevega- one, or the other, but not both. I think they fill that multi-tool role off the bench really well. I think I'd lean toward Tevega just because he (apparently) brings great team comraderie & I think this club needs that.

Trent Barrett- I believe he's off to the Broncos. As an assistant, I'll keep saying Anthony Griffin or Dean Pay- probably leaning more toward Griffin for Bennett links/Penrith links & a history of junior development.

Pole- just pay him enough to feel like he's wanted. We can't ALSO lose him. Get Sione signed up & let them be running mates.

To'o- obviously YES. If possible. He's the absolute best player the club could add. If not To'o, Ravalawa for physical impact or Addo-Carr for team building. I'd be ok with all three in varying degrees. Val Holmes kind of comes into this conversation & he is certainly a YES too if possible. Outstanding player.

Kleese Haas would be a sneaky good upgrade in the backrow. Right now, I expect Seyfarth to play back row next season. If they can get Seyfarth back into the middle with the Smash Bros (Horsburgh/Hetherington) that'd be ideal. Haas is rangy & quick & running of Luia.....if not Haas, I'd take an absolute flier on his other Titans mate Jacob Alick who is a real athlete.

A couple of other names I'd be happy seeing considered- Isiah Tass, Pasami Saulo, Peter Hola, Izaac Thompson, Tesi Niu, Joe Stimson

To make me extra happy- if we can find a way to bring Joe Ofehangue back, that's the prop I'd want from Parramatta.

Some players have to go. But the Tigers can afford to (slightly) overpay to bring in some real quality, 3-4 starting level players & a handful of fringe guys. I'd suggest we are far more competitive with some of the names mentioned.

I hope we can get that deal one.

Ray Vaga makes sense with what Richo said about strengthening our cup team also.
Not opposed to that either.

100%, but I suspect Pole and his manager would have waited anyway. What we should have done is ensured Pole and Stef weren’t up for negotiations at the same time.

As i said a few weeks ago, wasnt happy with money being offered to Stef and Saints like him a lot. Interesting.

Pole says he hasn't thought much about his future beyond next season but he's currently loving life at the Tigers and while he might be underrated by most, coach Benji Marshall knows exactly what he's got on his hands.

"I love it here. If Tigers want me to stay here, I'd gladly stay, but I'll see about that when the time comes," Pole said.

"Benji understands us young kids coming through, he's easy to get on with and he knows when to be serious. He's given me confidence in myself, sometimes I struggle with that.

"But he tells me all the time he believes I can be more than I am, that I can be one of the best front-rowers in the game."

Really interested to see who has the better career out of Stef and Fonua, when it's all said and done.
Stef is really your typical battering ram, big body who can make big meters and defends his opposite number. Pole really seems to fit the mould of the modern front rower, more compact, better footwork and bigger engine.
Easier to say now that Stef is on the way out, but I think we have kept the right one assuming we can sort something out with Pole. Just has so many more dimensions to his game and his footwork is unreal, can see him soon becoming an elite player and hopefully one for a long time, especially since he's only 22.

Pole and his manager have us over a barrel now. And don’t they know it. I reckon Pole will get $800k or close to it on his new deal. We can’t afford to lose a decent young middle. They will screw us for everything (which they are entitled to do

Pole is a quality forward and will be in demand. No low balling.

Walker as lock (where he is playing for Warriors) could be good for us especially with Papali'i moving on. It allows Pole to focus on a front-row spot and Walker provides a bit of ball-playing as well. Will need to move some players on though...
