They're both slow players with poor defence. Sol has a go at least and is a good team player, but he's still not worthy of playing for the magpies next season. He'll never be a decent first grader.

Looking at players who played last week the following players provide far better value than him:

• Jesse McLean
• Ali Leiataua
• Daine Laurie
• Mavrik Geyer
• Jacob Laban
• Preston Riki
• Chevy Stewart
• Tuku Hau Tapuha
• Billy Burns

And that's just from 4 teams, and my somewhat limited knowledge of these teams. There's probably many more.

Not many teams want a selfish player, who refuses to pass the ball or be a team player, that's slow, has a low work rate and can't defend. There are many players with more upside, even if they're less experienced. I would take every one of the players above for squad depth ahead of the AD.

Now you're talkin! That's the kind of recruitment list I want to see.

My problem with AD is not only that he can’t defend, that’s endemic in the team, it’s his attitude. If you listen to his words, we have the ultimate leader on our hands, but when you see the actions you realise it’s just hot air.

It’s near certain Richo has at least had a conversation regarding Tass and he’d be a good recruit at the right price, but even when he was going great with Souths a season or two back, I still remember him coming up with a bad defensive miss every now and then.
Tass heavily favours playing left centre, so is potentially blocked if Olam keeps healthy.
Optic defends ok, but was very slow for an NRL centre 2 years ago, he would only be slower now.
In reference to Balmain Boy the McLean brothers are on long term contracts with the Panthers and Ali Leiataua is not available until 2026, he will be a high priority re-signing for the Warriors.

Tom Opacic would be a great signing. Competes and is a great defensive centre, tough as nails would fit into our backline a treat.

1. Siua Wong: Roosters seem stacked for backrow depth & something has to give & I think this guy is gonna become a very very good player. Hopefully Richo can make some enquiries.
2. Ethan Bullemor: Has changed a lot of games for Manly this season coming off the bench with his hard & direct running & can cover the front/back row position. Only got 16 minutes off the bench for Manly yesterday so seems to be out of favour with Seibs a bit.
