The bulldogs stuff is very interesting re. Their rebuild timeline .
Hopefully we have the resurgence we all want this coming season , and if that happens would have meant that we actually rebuilt at more than half the time the bulldogs took .
It’s really gone worst team in the comp ; Parra for a season or 2 , knights for ages , bulldogs for ages , and tigers for 3 years .
All 3 teams have chose to bottom out , and rebuild with youth . , but the dogs only got themselves out last year , and the knights got themselves out as well , but really they moved into mid table mediocrity .
We arnt out yet , but hopefully that happens in 25 , which really only puts 1 year timeline wise , behind the dogs . And even then , we really only chose to bottom out properly in 23 and 24 .Before that is a transit lounge for mercenary footy players .
Take the emotion out as a fan , and it’s interesting . Like I said , the ranga Pom is a cheer squad for the dogs , and we are thier direct competitor for players , sponsors , geography re. The inner west , hearts and minds in the south west etc.
A resurgent bulldogs and continuation of the status quo with the tigers , is real dangerous on many levels for the growth of wests tigers . And id say , that’s probably true if you reverse the teams .
When the stupid Pom said kick out the tigers . There was zero reference to pre 2022 , when his team was soo bad they were an absolute embarrassment to the league . Not just shit . Which is what we have been .
It’s purely agenda IMHO. With a sprinkling of truth to legitimise his position . Even thier major sponsor , was apparently a massive life long tigers fan . There’s a lot of cross over .
