I am all for the new WT standards but this smells to me. Almost like its not so much about the players fitness but going to lengths to free up top 30 roster spots. Its almost too convenient that they have found some fatties to throw the book at...

Explain to me how theyd orchestrate this.
Club tells players to be at a certain fitness level 8 or so weeks back
Players come backto training not meeting the requirements but if they have
theyre straight on to the RLPA

Brent read was on a podcast today and answered this question . Apparently 2 of the 5 players are high value , and 2 of the other 3 have multiple breaches and now have to face the board for a show cause . Basically the gist was the rules apply to everyone , and that this had nothing to do with clearing cap space , and was all about driving standards , and culture change.

Makes sense . 19 year old bursts into first grade , gets complacent , has a reality check of what his expectations are .
I heard the other is Mason . But he just looks massive re. Muscle growth , so I’m not sure about that .

Yea. It want that long ago he was a NSW school boy and had a million raps on him . Needs to improve his strength and power , otherwise his size is going to be a huge deterrent moving forward . But I think he will . Will probably float around the edge of 17 for the next 2 years until that happens .

Think 2025 is a great opportunity for Benji to build culture. Pre-season will be huge, but putting his foot down on guys throughout the year who don’t train as hard as they should and sending them to cup, kinda mirror and set similiar principles to what the new FC Barcelona coach is doing.

Fans are over-analysing the situation. A shirt is a shirt, clubs can’t force players into short sleeve or a longer sleeve especially under the new nrl guidelines, but a bib tho…
