I think Richo should be immortalised with a bronze statue of him out the front of the Zurich CoE if the club turns around.
 
I think in the Stephanie round about we have come out in front; both in $ and ability. Extremely happy - I know Stef probably has quite a ceiling and under Bellamy may show it...but... maybe not.

the roosters said he is free to leave if a club was willing to take him at freight reported to be around 550 to 650

i believe our offer was
675 / 750 / 750 from listening to a few pod casts over the weekend

stefano signed with melbourne for 750 which peaks at 850


i did hear a sniff that sione was a smokey for the dragons

Generally a club tops up money if the player is on more cap then his market dictates. I have no doubt we would be paying him the full 650k or whatever and roosters will clear the full $450k. In reverse as a hypothetical Batemans market value might be $450 /$500k so we may have to kick in the money that is the difference between his contract with us and his new contract with another club if we want a deal done. Alternatively in some rare cases a player may elect to walk away from a contract and sign a lesser contract with the hope he’ll make up the the difference in future years (A Woods to Sharks).

I said a few weeks ago I could see Dragons going for Sione. After coaching at manly Flanagan would know them well. Sure he’d also have no problems giving Latu a starting half’s spot in the future too. Anyways hopefully Sione is signed to avoid any future dramas
