Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

depth chart for 2026 currently runs as follows.

Samuela
Seyfarth
Bird
Broederlow (Development)

Seyfarth's extension should be a formality. Sukkar's got a CO, Porter's off contract as well.

even if it is Seyfarth as you mention, we need at least two more edge forwards. one needs to be putting pressure on the starters at absolute minimum. the other needs to be a prospect or solid depth piece.
Seen much of Broederlow? We are short on backrow stocks.

Come on man. Media reports of salaries are pretty sketchy.

Brooksy’ pay was going up 10% each quarter.

I can’t see how WT win his signature at that value.

well.,, I’m going to go with what they say in the absence of anything else … or people’s ‘gut feels’…

100%. And old tomato head will be writing about how our cap’s out of whack because we signed too many Penrith players. Never mind the Sharks million dollar flop in the halves.

He is a DH…but he is not the only journalist in town…. Some have more truthful info than others …

I don’t think Turuva has a position set in stone. I can see him shifting between wing and centre at different stages of the year.

I thought the general gist of Turuva to play centre was he’ll be given the first crack at it. I don’t think it was ever mentioned as promised to play there. So if he does a good job I guess he’ll lock on at centre, if not back out to the wing he goes. But let’s face it we’re pretty weak in the centres and that’s dependent on how Olam pulls up after surgery. So I guess you’re recollection is similar to mine.

I know Richo has said it before but a team needs the cream. 7-8 juniors & the hard workers.

They have a 3 year recruitment plan & I take out of that they still have a few moves they want to complete.

I assume the positions identified are centre, 2nd row & possibly lock.

You can't be anything but optimistic watching that press conference.

Bateman is the obvious next chip to fall this year with Sione getting an upgrade.

One thing I am interested in is the outcome of the board & breach notices.

Overall it's a very balanced squad with depth across the park, YES, I acknowledge some depth is weaker than others but it's a massive improvement from 2 years ago going in to Round 1 with Wakeham & Brooks etc...
