Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Is it just me or has our beloved forum become strangely toxic over the last couple of weeks?

I hope so many of you get a good Christmas break in. A sign you need it is when you find yourself arguing on a forum in the offseason with enough passion that it upsets you in real life.

Holidays soon!!
Its always been a feature of this forum, way back before we even won the 05 title, that members on here have more fight in them than our team does. Hopefully that changes in 25.

You don’t have to watch NRLW to know who she is, she has been on all the club promo stuff for a few years now. She usually gets a gig modeling the different jerseys, you would literally have to be blind not too have seen her
The clubs moved to Kezie Apps a while ago . Why are you going after him for not knowing who someone is ? Even if it’s dismissive , it’s not really . He doesn’t have to embrace the women’s game . No one does . It’s a choice .
Hopefully with the club making gameday experiences more fluid and inclusive of 2 or 3 matches , people who are reluctant to give it a go , will by the fact it’s before the Main game watch it naturally .
It’s your personal choice how you want to consume a product . It’s no different from guys who go out and watch all the development leagues and go to lidcombe to watch the KOE. It’s 💯 thier choice to consume the product in the way they want to .

Why do people like the women’s State of Origin? It’s usually an error riddled low quality couple of games. I would put the blame of this on the people who decided it was a good idea to have their biggest games of the year before playing any regular season games… bizarre decision to me

“Error riddled low quality couple of games”? What are you, some kind of bigot /s

Tone what down?

Calling out a virtue signalling clown who is labelling other posters “misogynistic” for the unforgivable crime of not following WNRL? Do you think that’s an appropriate reason to throw around that label?

Unless you’re also prepared to call out that BS, step off.
To be fair- calling someone misogynistic, an idiot, non-binary, moronic, The Chad, A Brooks Lover, A Brooks Hater etc..... doesn't mean the target of the name calling actually IS any of these things.

Who cares if someone calls someone a name?

When did 'sticks & stones' stop being relevant?

Wow, just logged in, looks like things got a bit wild in here last night 😂

Some bloke’s apparently walking around in his undies all oiled up touching people! 🤣

Another bloke said he thinks “women have a crack and go hard” 😊🤣

And another bloke said he likes watching girls run around but thinks they should have smaller balls! 😮🤔😂

😂 😂😂

This is misrepresenting what was said. No-one got called misogynistic for not following NRLW - the comment (which I don't actually agree with, as it happens) was about someone who claimed literally not to have ever heard the name of the Tigers' most famous women's player. Those are two different things.

As I said in another comment (which I note none of the anti-woke warriors have responded to): I personally don't follow NRLW, and no-one has ever or would ever call me a misogynist for that, even though I've never made a secret of it. I am, however, a Tigers fan and therefore having a vague awareness of who a couple of our women's players are seems to be around the same level of fandom as, say, knowing that they train at Concord. I guess it's possible to literally never have heard of any of the women's players but while I wouldn't say someone who hasn't is a misogynist it seems a bit performative at this stage.

It's interesting to me that the people who are most likely to talk about "virtue signalling" or "woke snowflakes" are also the ones who are most inclined to have an attack of the vapours and go down clutching their pearls whenever any faint criticism comes their way. No-one is forcing you to like women's football, mate. You're all good. Have a lie down and think about Blocker Roach.

I love it when people bag the women’s game and say it’s low quality and crap without ever watching it haha
I enjoy watching the tigers nrlw team but we are in trouble if we don’t recruit a fullback
I’m guessing you are attempting to have a dig at me for saying ‘low quality’ but you are taking it out of context. I specifically said the origin games are low quality because they play it as a pre season game instead of half way through the year like the men’s. Id expect a low quality, error riddled game if they started playing the men’s as a pre season cup as well. All I’m saying is it seems bizarre that they play their biggest games of the year with no game time fitness
