There's many questions to be asked regarding where Galvan is, and where he will/might get to in his development.
On one hand- he was really good for a 1st year starter. Invariable anything 'good' we did had his involvement in it. His fitness levels seem outstanding. The game didn't look to be too big for him.
On the other hand- he shone in a terrible team. Not exactly hard to stand out when the rest looked so bad. He made a number of errors through trying too hard. I think his defence is much worse than anyone wants to talk about. And I don't mean technique. His reading of defence, if you pick it apart, is pretty ugly.
I keep going back to this- the Tigers went all out to sign Latu Fainu. They brought in Sezar. Sullivan. And chased & signed Luai. All the while with Galvan on the books. In the Harold Matts winning side, Galvan was 2nd Row & Heath Mason was 5/8.
Galvan wasn't supposed to do this well. And the club had/has Latu higher rated at the least, given the money invested.
Galvan's fitness & willingness to get involved put him ahead of the rest. I suspect his ability in comparison to some of the others isn't significantly better.
I'd be very, very careful with his future contract. This has Luke Brooks vibes. And I wasn't a critic of Brooks. I believe effort goes a long way. But you shouldn't sink your salary cap into effort.
I still believe Galvan is destined for the back row. Maybe the guy we signed to play back row is the best comparison of where I expect Galvan to get to- Jack Bird. I think he's that kind of player level- if he hits his talent level.
